hi, i'm waiting, and it's so hard. my schools nursing ap dealine is feb. 1, 2008. letters go out the first week of may following the deadline. i'm turning my ap in sometime this fall. its my first time applying. what are my chances of making it the first time around? any suuccess stories of making it the first time around? or any advice while i wait? help i need a support group:lol2:
My application was due June 1st for the Spring 2008 BSN program at my college. I just got my acceptance letter two days ago. Just finishing up prereqs this summer and fall along with the last few bio classes for my B.S. biology degree (done in december!). I can't wait to start nursing school!
Last week I learned that I was accepted to a DEMSN program starting in January!!! I turned my application in on April 15 and the intervening months have been STRESSFUL.
When I got the e-mail, I started whooping it up and jumping around. I ran outside to tell my wife and we started jumping around together. My 5-year-old just looked at us like crazy and then ran like the dickens to escape the mandatory "family hug"
Hang in there and keep your grades up. Visualize success but plan your contingencies just in case.
Best of luck to you all. I hope you're similarly blessed with good news in the coming months.
YES! I applied to start either an Accelerated BSN program Summer '08 or a hospital diploma program in January '08. I should hear from both programs by the end of November.

I got in on the first try. I am in IL so I don't know how it is where everyone else lives. I do know the school had over 1,000apps with only 40 spots for fall and 40 for spring. Anyway, by this time next year I hope I will be sharing my, "end of first year as a nursing student stories" with y'all. It can be done and I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Good luck with the application process and i'll be watching for your posts when those letters come rolling in!
