Is there anyone else out there who is currently studying for the CCRN exam and would like to start a thread as perhaps a study and support group? I have just applied for the exam and have not yet set a date, but about in 3 months is when I will be taking it. I would love to be in communication with others in the same boat! I hope there is at least one other nurse out there! Thanks!

I went to a work-run review class today - my test is in a week! Luckily, the review reinforced a lot of the studying that I've already done, and I feel like I've prepared ok. I'm getting around 80% on practice questions, so I hope that's good enough.

Great job!! You will do just fine on the exam!! When is your exact date so we can send positive thoughts your way!!

How are you feeling? Remember to not let those 25 non-graded questions rattle you! What are you going to do for yourself as a reward?

Keep in touch, OK? Let us know how you are doing!!

I was being cagey about the exact day haha! Alright, I'm sitting it Tuesday morning. Going away for the weekend on a roadtrip, so I can't panic too much over the weekend!! Not sure about a reward, but I think if I get this certification, my next goal will be the -CSC attachment. Since work reimburses it and all!

I just took the exam, studied for 2 weeks. Concentrated on the green CCRN book by Gasparis. Just did question and rationale review. Concentrated mostrly on cardio and pulmo. Some review and lots of prayers worked for me.

Thanks guys! I passed with 105/125 correct answers. I did HORRIBLE on GI/Renal, but I can live with that! I mostly focused my study on cardiac/pulmonary/neuro/endo, and I think my results reflect that.

-----------------------------

Cardiac: 88%

Pulmonary: 86%

Endocrine: 100%

Hematology/Immunology: 100%

Neurology: 83%

GI: 57%

Renal: 67%

Multisystem: 80%

Professional/Synergy: 84%

------------------------------------

I *HIGHLY* recommend the Gasparis review - someone loaned me their review tapes which I listened to while driving around for several weeks. I learned a LOT from it. I also did a lot of review questions from the "Pass CCRN" book and examined both the answers and the rationales. I did a review class at work which covered a lot of the systems (I only attended 1/2 review days).

Thanks again for the hints, support and well wishes!
