Foreign Educated Nurse in pursue of becoming CRNA..Will it be harder for me?
Your second option sounds better to me. Get some ICU experience first and take some pre reqs while doing this. Then take your GRE and CCRN. You will need at least 3 letters of recommendation usually coming from your manager, a professor, an MD or CRNA. I know and worked with several nurses from the phillippines who are CRNA's now. You're still young, just keep your focus and you will succeed. Good luck!

Grad level courses in Houston
Hi! I need advice on how to take grad level courses here in houston. I'm a '91 graduate and my GPA isn't that great so i'm trying to make up for it by taking pre- reqs and grad level courses. I also have 15 years nursing experience, 8 of which is in the ICU. I have CCRN and CVRN certifications. My biggest problem is my GPA being less than 3. I was young and not really into nursing when I was in school but i've come to love what i'm doing and would like to be a CRNA. What else can I do to improve my chances of getting into the program? Please help!:imbar

Anyone else studying for CCRN exam?
I just took the exam, studied for 2 weeks. Concentrated on the green CCRN book by Gasparis. Just did question and rationale review. Concentrated mostrly on cardio and pulmo. Some review and lots of prayers worked for me.
