Is there anyone else out there who is currently studying for the CCRN exam and would like to start a thread as perhaps a study and support group? I have just applied for the exam and have not yet set a date, but about in 3 months is when I will be taking it. I would love to be in communication with others in the same boat! I hope there is at least one other nurse out there! Thanks!

hey dee, yeah a couple more days, im doing my last minuted system by system review then i go and ace it amen!!, thanks fro all ur support its good to see nurses that enjoy each others successes! yall will be the first to know as soon as i pass ....
Hey godsgem, hit it out of the park!! Don't let those 25 ungraded questions shake your confidence...they can be absurdly difficult...and will usually come near the beginning of the test. I knew this info, but it still was very frustrating for me, but if you can, just let go of those REALLY hard questions as you go along.
What are you going to do for yourself as a reward? You really ought to have something planned...
Can't wait to hear from you when you are a CCRN!!! :lol2:
i know i have been telling myself to get prepared mentally for the 25 ungraded questions and not to be shaken. so i keep reminding myself, i will be so glad when it is over, ifeel so guilty i cant play with my 2 year old shes in her room all alone because mommy is studying and dad is out of town, i hve been bribing her with popsicles and spongebob on tv...i am still pondering on how i will celebrate hmmmm.....

Your 2 year old will be fine!! Who can resist sponge bob and popsicles!! Sounds good to me..
Definitely, some kind of reward should be part of the process!! It could be anything! It depends on what you like.... perhaps a massage, or a 'girl's night out', or dinner with your husband...maybe even a piece of jewelry that you would never buy for yourself to signify this accomplishment....
I am sending good wishes your way... you are going to do fine.

I PASSEEEEDDDDDD!!!! YEAH:yeah: I AM NOW OFFICIALLY RN-CCRN.......THANK GOD
took the test this afternoon, was really easy, easier than i expected, as usual i overstudied, passed with an 86% overall, my achilles heel was MODS, i HATE that section arrhhh, but its all over, thanks to yall for all the encouragement and for those waiting to take it, it really is not tricky i acutally knew i passed as soon as i was done....a feeling i was lacking when i took the NCLEX because u had to choose the best answer between 2 really good options, in the CCRN u just have to pick the RIGHT answer, hence it removes second guessing between 2 good answers...
Now to stomp on the CSC and the GRE is my next mission...

wooo hoooo!! congratulations on rocking on the gre!!! way to go!!
yes the dennison book's title is "pass ccrn", and i think the best price is on amazon. you have to be careful if you order it used that it actually comes with the cd with questions. i would also make sure you get the 3rd edition...there are many more questions. it is really the cd that is invaluable. the book is too dense, but can be used as a resource.

I am really happy, u know i have only told 2 good pals of mine an older male nurse like my mentor and my girlfriend...i waited to pass first so i can get reimbursed for 40hrrs of education time, so the word will get around by next week thanks to my manager and plus we have clinical ladder and once i get to clinician III, they all will know i got my ccrn but i know some haters exist but i aint worried about them...i am trying to get my CSC and crush the GRE asap.......thanks yall...well deeDawntee i have not planned anything i think i will go shopping i worked an extrashift so i think i will use that money for ME!......yall are great i swear.......
Just found this thread today.... I have started studying AGAIN to take the CCRN test... but something always gets me distracted... would love to say I have done it and passed... Have a small study group and I am trying to push myself to stay focused.... Any good advice for me.... Whose study guide was the best.... Were the pass CCRN test questions enough of a study guide or does it take a variety?
Thanks guys....
