When I took my NCLEXPN, the test stopped at 85. I almost started crying, saying to myself, please give me some more questions, I know I can get some right!!!!! I thought for sure I had flunked it! I don't know anyone personally that honestly thought they had passed it. I passed, and good thing I did, as I don't think I could go through that again. Talk about stress! LOL!

Hello everyone i am new to this...i juss needed to relate to people and it seems like most of you were going through the same things that i am going through now....I just took my nclexPN and it stopped at 85 i know in some way that i have failed because i knew of alot of quesions i picked the wrong answers for and i knew it after i clicked the "next" button...i guess my mind was just out of fuel and exhausted! im in cali and we dont participate in that quick results so i wont know my results for about 2-4wks..there is no way i think i could have passed unless there is such things as miricles! That was the hardest test i have ever taken and i just dont want to study for it again if i end up having to take the nclexPN again! Pls a little advise?...

hello everyone...
I am so glad I found this thread. Seems like most of us are all (or have been) in the same shoes as far as the exam goes... DOUBTFUL... I took my boards Tue. of this week. I unfortunately cut off at 150. I really don't know what to feel about it. I do feel like I was answering alot of the same questions. Don't know if that is good or bad considering that it cut off as quick as it did. My question is if anyone really knows why it does cut off quicker on some than others as far as failing it goes. Does it depend on a certain percentage of question that are answered overall correct. It would seem that if you cut off at like 85 ques. with you failing, you would at least get a chance to answer the rest to the best of your knowledge correctly. I don't know guys. It just all seems confusing to me. I just pray that I passed. I dread taking that thing again.

hello..well im going through the same thing as you, but i have known people that had the same number of questions as you and passed! I too was getting alot of the same types of questions over and over again...i think i was too below the passing line, thats why it cut off on me quick. I was thinking to myself after i took it if it would at least give me more questions than that i would have at least some confidence. but i was doing real bad and the worst thing happens it cut off...What makes it worst is more of the pressure was on me because all of my classmates had pass and they all said it was too easy.. I went on to take it like a piece of cake but then it hit me i blanked out when they started to ask me hard questions and then harder and i just gave up... gosh i just dont know...I have to wait a week and half more to know the news. I too dread taking it again it was a real nightmare that came true! I dont know if i can even study for that again..:stone
Hi DeeDaSweetee. Thanks for replying back ...I am sure you did really well if it cut off at 85. Most of the people that I talked to that cut off at 85 said they felt the same way as you afterwards but passed. I'm hoping I'll get my results next week sometime. I am going crazy right now wondering if I aced it or not Best wishes to you though!!! Keep us posted... :)
thanks LPN@04 for your words of encouragement..we need that from time to time and i esp needed it at time point of my life...i will keep u posted even if its the bad news that i had dreams about...hope you will too..i think you did well also because all the people who had the same numbers of questions as yours passed the boards and i've known of about 5 people, so your good.. hope both of us passed! THANKS ttyl!

When the machine cut off at 85, i didn't know what to think. My friends and classmates who took the test stopped at 85 (one did not know where he stopped-he said the test was soo hard) and they all passed. I took the test tuesday and I just want the anxiety to be over and for me to pass. I can say I felt I was knowledgable about most of the questions, and that some questions did give me trouble. My friend is tkaing the test and she is soo nervous. I hope that she and I and the rest of my class pass!

difjg;ldskfjgd;klfjgd;fsjgds;lflj I can not take this waiting! I had 85 questions and I don't feel good about the test...I don't want to take it again!!!!! most people pass with 85 but I feel like I am one of the ones that didn't...any advice for next time? I am thinking ahead!! haha...but I'll know in four or five days....also I have never been a good test taker and there was another girl their taking her boards from my class and she did really well in school and she had 160 questions so thats just another reason I think I am in trouble.

hello graduatenurse in response to your question. I am a good candidate for this question. I took NCLEX first time and failed:o at 85 and then took it the second time and got 85 and passed. Went out to get a job and got it within a week and 1/2. But yes I could tell I was having some easy questions the first time I took it . The second time there were hard questions and 5 or 6 select all that apply.
