Has anyone appied and been accepted into the RN program at DBCC? If so what was your GPA? How were your NET scores?
I missed finals frenzy. How was it? Do you feel like it helped to prepare you for the final? Did they have a sample exam?
They had a mock final and at the end went over what you missed with you. They said it was fairly accurate as to what the final would be like. I think it made things clear for me.
Orientation today was great, learned lots, it was a little boring to start but then things picked up. We were told about the new curriculum and the program has been condensed to 4 semesters.I got the schedule I was hoping for, I have Wanda Lear for Nursing Process and Lab, Lillian Rosati for Foundations.
Question, do you all use PDA's at all? My mother-in-law has been hinting about buying me one for Christmas but I don't know... is that something I need? I was thinking maybe a stethoscope or one of those bookbags on wheels.
Wow, 4 semesters? So what's that going to be like? When does that make your graduation date?
Here is the new program, I am not sure about what the graduation date is going to be. I guess it will be four semesters from when we start. The second semester looks pretty intense!

first off, a Sagan fan.. NICE!
secondly, hmm... so are they still doing Peds, OB, and Psych? If so, which is which?
This scholarship is awarded directly through the nursing dept. You need an unoffical copy of your transcripts, 2 letters of reference, and an essay about your goals (the instructions are in your syllibus) Turn it in before 2/28 (I think) and they will mail you a letter explaining the rest

I haven't felt the need for a PDA yet. Some schools rave about them (some even require them)- not DBCC. I would spend the money on a really good stethoscope. IMHO.
