Things sure have seemed to slow down on here. I know I sure have been busy these last few weeks (care plans and all, lol). How are things going for you all? Almost done with the first semester and only one week left of clinicals!!!

Been busy with class and the holidays. I can't believe that this is our last week of clinicals and the end of the semester is in sight. It's been a hard road and sometimes I never thoughtI would make it this far but I can't believe it - our first semester of nursing school is almost over!! How are the rest of you guys doing?

I am so excited to get some sleep in a few weeks!!! I really enjoyed clinicals and my group. I really feel fortunate that (minus one) our group not only hit it off well, but also was all smart/hard workers. Best of all, most of us are in the same group next semester in DeLand.

Side note, anyone going to finals frenzy or know what they have planned?? M.B. you're usually up on things, any ideas?

I have to start off by saying that I am so damn happy this semester is coming to an end!

I will be at finals frenzy Saturday, anyone else going?

There will also be a raffle there and tickets will be a dollar and it will be for a chance to when gift certificates to local resturants, There are some pretty good ones too! So everyone make sure you bring a few bucks and I think they are also going to do a 50/50 raffle, where who ever wins that one takes half the pot! They will be selling some Polo t-shirts that have nursing or something on them for $25.00.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE RAFFLE WILL GO TO BUY GIFTS FOR THE HOMELESS CHILDREN FOR CHRISTMAS! EVERYONE BRING ATLEAST $5.00 AND LETS MAKE THIS A GOOD CHRISTMAS FOR THEM!

So what campus is everyone on next semester? I am daytona again

I got Deland and plan to be there tomorrow morning. (Since I work nights there is a small chance that fatigue may get the better of me. :zzzzz)

MB have you joined the FSNA? Or does the Daytona campus just do more service projects than the other campuses? If not, are you planning to join?

Yes I joined FSNA around the third week of class. They usually have meeting after the Saturday skills labs. A bunch of us from first semester joined. They are voting on new leaders this Saturday and we did a bake sale a few weeks ago and made almost 500.00!

I missed finals frenzy. How was it? Do you feel like it helped to prepare you for the final? Did they have a sample exam?

Orientation today was great, learned lots, it was a little boring to start but then things picked up. We were told about the new curriculum and the program has been condensed to 4 semesters.

I got the schedule I was hoping for, I have Wanda Lear for Nursing Process and Lab, Lillian Rosati for Foundations.

Question, do you all use PDA's at all? My mother-in-law has been hinting about buying me one for Christmas but I don't know... is that something I need? I was thinking maybe a stethoscope or one of those bookbags on wheels.
