Anyone from Baker College? Say hello!!!

Published

Just wanting to get all of the Baker College students together, just to say "hey". Much love to all of you.:redbeathe

Specializes in OR Peri Operative.
I am also applying to the LPN program and taking my hesi on the 29th. I went to their site but do not see where it states that they were approved. Can you tell who you talked too? Thanks.

Just wanted to mention I just looked on Bakers website, to see if the LPN-Rn was on there yet. It doesn't show it yet, but if you go to the Open Classes for fall of 09, scroll down to Nursing and it shows the LPN-RN transition on there. :yeah:

Hey there mrsrlg. Classes went great with both. I am taking the test on the 29th. We will see....I still haven't had time to refresh my self with it. Working too much and still finishing an on-line class. When should we know whether we are in or not??? I didn't ask that when I went to see her. I totally forgot to ask that question....

Carebear thanks for the information. I am so glad they are doing this. Hopefully I will get in to the LPN and then go right into RN...

Hey there, Pankie! Glad all went well with your classes. I'm studying now and will continue all week, until the big day - Friday...ahhhh...lol. I'm thankful to be done with classes. It has been a long 2 years without a break, so I'm looking forward to summer. Chris is going to get all the apps by 7/2 and said she will be working on them the following week until they're all entered, so we should know by 7/9 or 7/10, though the holiday is in there. If you give your e-mail address, she'll be emailing the 30 accepted first, as well as send a mailed approval, but it could mean knowing a couple of days earlier.

Baker College student here. Allen Park transfer student too Clinton Township!

Was it hard getting accepted? What was your GPA? What did you get on your Hesi? Did you repeat any classes? I hear it's almost impossible to get in, you must have a 4.0, no repeats and almost a perfect score on the Hesi, is this true?

Hi Carebear,

It has been quite a while since you posted this, but first, I saw the LPN-RN on the open class list for fall, so that is great that you're able to continue on. :)

Plus, I just got accepted to the LPN program starting in Sept. (I was emailed late Thursday night - YAY!), and I wondered if the LPN students wear white scrubs or another color for clinicals? I've seen students wearing a variety of colored scrubs around school, but haven't noticed any saying the PN program. I'm hoping not white, but if it is, then it is LOL. Anyhow, thanks much!

Well, it's been a little while since anyone has written on this thread, but I just wanted to see if there are any other Baker College Clinton Township people waiting (anxiously!) to get their letters for the Spring 2010 program?!

I wish more people from Baker used this website..... all I see on here about Baker are the vicious rumors that you hear all the time, like how you HAVE to get a 4.0 to get in, or people saying they had a 4.0 and didn't get in..... THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO IT THAN JUST YOUR GPA!!!

I'm waiting....

They are suppose to be mailed out by Feb 1st right? :uhoh3:

Yeah, the Nursing office said they were going out next week, and that we should have them BY Feb. 1st....

Is this your first time applying? Do you mind if I ask your score?

I am at Baker-Flint and I will be applying in April for the Fall 2010 entrance. I am really nervous about applying and taking the entrance exam because now it is changed to a Kaplan entrance exam. I love Baker and I really happy that I started school there. Has anyone taken patho, pharm or holistic at Baker? I would love to know what to expect next semester for those couple of classes. Any instructors that you would recommend?

I attend the Clinton Township campus so I can't recommend a teacher for you but I thought that those classes were easier than AP. I guess it is because going into AP if you need to learn so many new concepts, whereas the other classes you find out how the things you learned in AP effects the body and each other and it all starts to make sense. I think Holistics was the hardest of the 3 for me because I have worked in the medical field and it was hard to put aside what I know from conventional medicine to learn other ways of healing the body. Once I got past my hang ups I really enjoyed learning about holistic medicine and use some of what I learned now in my personal life.
