Just wanting to get all of the Baker College students together, just to say "hey". Much love to all of you.:redbeathe
You can apply to Baker and MCC as many times as you want. Baker has 2 application periods a year and MCC has one. Baker only allows you to take the NET a couple times, MCC allows you to take the HESI once each year.
So once you run out of times taking the NET you can just reapply each time and see how everyone else did. It really depends on how many apply, and what their GPA/NET was because the points vary each time.
There were over 250 applicants this time at Baker.
I believe there are 3. Nutrition that has to be done before you start the program, a PE, and ethics or another one I can't remember what it is can be done during the program.
So you need to have Comp I, AP 1 & 2, Psych, Nutrition, and Micro done before you start.
You find out if you have been accepted into the fall program in April so you have time to finish a few classes in the summer if you need to. I would do the last 3 at MCC if you are accepted because Baker does not offer 1 of them and the other 2 do not transfer well.
Baker in Auburn Hills just was approved for the LPN-RN program. I will be starting in the fall as one of the first students in this program...I'm so excited. Just wanted to get the word out.(I graduated last year as a LPN from the A.H. campus)
Hi Carebear77,
Thanks for the info. Is this the R.N. bridge approval they've been waiting on? I am just applying for the LPN program and will be taking my HESI late next week, but it will be good to know they've been approved for the R.N. bridge now. Congrats and good luck! :)

I thought of a question I had...did they tell you how long the bridge lasts, like 3 quarters or more or less? Thanks!

I am also applying to the LPN program and taking my hesi on the 29th. I went to their site but do not see where it states that they were approved. Can you tell who you talked too? Thanks.

they were just approved for the lpn to rn bridge last week so they wouldn't have it up yet, it's only been since friday. i talk to chris l. regularly (don of nursing program) and she is the one that told me they were approved and i got the letter in the mail on friday telling me about the program starting in the fall and that previous lpn baker students were top priority/ accepted.
this year the program is going to be 1 year(starts in fall ends in the summer, just like the lpn program) b/c it was such a short notice they are including some pre-reqs (like patho and some others) but next year people will need to have those pre-reqs done before applying. next year might be only 3 quarters, but not sure.

thanks for the info! i remember loretta saying once that she thought it would be 3 quarters, but i can understand this time being different or a bit longer while they work out the curriculum and such. anyhow, congrats again! :)

Hi Panky,
Haven't seen you here for awhile, though I haven't been here much either with finals, etc. I hope everything went well with your MCC and Baker classes. Good luck on the HESI (I'm taking it on the 26th) and with your app! I'm glad Christine is going to let us know really quickly - no great waiting - yay! lol. Anyhow, best of luck and hope to see you in September. :)

How many times can you apply to Bakers compared to MCC?
