Just wondering if anyone has taken this 12month program? Seems like a decent alternative to Mt. St. Mary's and CSUN as this is right here in Orange County.
Commetns appreciated.
Hey, diverdown!
Do you know how many people are admitted?
Did you apply to other schools, too?
To be honest, I am on the waitlist. I am preparing to apply to other schools(just in case...)
I still pray and I will thank God wherever He puts me in...
Congratulation, diverdown!!
Hope you have a wonderful time at CUI. What was in the packet you got last week? just curious!!
Blessings to you!
Kim
Yea, I was on the waitlist and was hoping to receive a phone call from Concordia to be selected for the program on Aug 19th but I didn't. I guess having a Bachelor's GPA below a 3.0 did not help. I just started a LVN program so maybe that is something you might want to look into as a stepping stone. Congrats to diverdown and best of luck to you all.
Thank you for your info, pinkberry77.
I am waiting and waiting. I am worrying so much..
I assume that you have a good GPA, because you were invited to an interview for fall term! why didn't you apply to other schools? My cumulative GPA is just little above 3.0. Maybe this is the big reason that I was selected for a waitlist.
Do you know how many people who were on the waitlist got into the program?
hyu.... I am just praying everyday. this is the only way that I can do now..
Also, I am looking for nursing school outside of California..
Good luck!!
and alizard!! cheer up!! you are a prayer. don't lose your hope and trust God.
God will guide you to the best way. I will pray for you, too!
I am getting an information about Creighton University, now... becasue I heard
that you could get into the program even though you have a below 3.0 gpa.
I will let you know if you are interested in!! and please, help me out, too!!!
cheer up!!
Hi..Im in the Concordia program right now, and I love it. The teachers are great, accomidating and fair! Yes, it is a new program so there are inperfections...but every school has its issues. The first class (those who started in August) had to deal with a lot of stuff, the staff definitely listened to their complaints and made big changes. As for the theology class, ya they are expensive but they are easy, and your learning, every bit of knowledge is good!! This school really cares about us as students, they are compassionate and caring. My clinical instructor is amazing, smart, and I have had great hospital experiences. This is an accelerated program, its very fast, so some days you are sitting in class from 7:30am-5:30pm and your tired and you have to get up the next morning to go to clinicals, but in my opinion, it is soooo worth it!!!! If anyone has any other questions, I would be happy to answer them! Hope this is helpful : )
Hi eClaire. I know your post is from earlier this year but I was wondering if you were still happy to answer questions. If so, how is it continuing to go? If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA (both undergrad and science) when you were accepted to the program? I read over all the posts and it seems like it's rather high. My undergrad was 3.15 (I graduated in 2001) and so far my science GPA is a 4.0 - I just need to take one more class.
I hope you still enjoy the program. It is really the only one I'm interested in as it works best with my academic goals and timeline. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
