Anyone attending or taken the Accelerated BSN at Concordia in Irvine?

Published

Just wondering if anyone has taken this 12month program? Seems like a decent alternative to Mt. St. Mary's and CSUN as this is right here in Orange County.

Commetns appreciated.

Kim,

Thanks. I'm still praying that there is a chance that this would work out. Every aspect of the program seems like it would be a perfect fit, I just need to get in. I'm glad that they look at the whole person.

Its good to hear that on you got an interview. Best of luck to you. =)

Thanks again.

Hi everyone,

I would like to wish all good luck on their acceptance to CUI. I, too, was chosen for an interview. This is my second time applying, and I pray for all applicants and myself that by the end of July and early August, our tireless efforts during this entire application process will pay off and be awarded an acceptance. For those who don't get accepted, don't lose hope, keep on trying, and God will see your efforts and will reward you. Best of luck to all.

Hello! It's a beautiful day.

Did anyone hear anything about admission status or process ? :)

Hi everydayprayer. Nothing yet, but still praying! How about you? Have you heard anything? Best of luck to you!

Everydayprayer,

Hi again. I just saw your message from the 25th...I'm so sorry I didn't see it before! Yes, we probably saw each other. I was in group three. Which group were you in? Of course I'd like to join you in praying for God's direction for all of those who interviewed. He knows who will be accepted, and he has a plan for each of us. :-)

Hello, diverdown!

no! I could not hear anything from CUI, either. I am trying to be patient..

I have prayed for a long time and I am little tired. :)

I truly believe that God will answer for our prayers. Best of luck to you, diverdown. :w00t: I was in group one~ therefore, I had an interview without break! Let's pray. I will pray for you, too.

We know that.... "In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps" Proverbs 16:9

How many religion classes are required over the 15-month period? On the "course schedule" webpage it showed 3 different classes (3 out of the 4 semesters), but on the "course description" page it only listed one. Do you know which one is correct?

Also, are the classes religiously-specific? Would a student who is Jewish or Muslim for instance find the classes just as useful/interesting?

Thanks!

WheresCara,

The CUI BSN program is only 12-month long, 3semesters. You are required to take two classes(theology/phillosophy) at CUI a semester before you get into the program. You can go to CUI website and check the course schedule again under nursing program. Good luck!

thanks for the response! I was confused between Concordia in Irvine and the Concordia in New York-- both are Christian faith schools. I live in NJ, and the one in NY has different requirements. Thanks!

But are u an RN already going to BSN? what's your license and what state?

I'll be graduation with a bachelors in science in spring of 2010. I'm not an RN, but I've done all my nursing pre-req's (according to some nursing schools) so i'm looking to do an accelerated 2nd degree BSN program right after I graduate.

Hello, everyone!!

I think we will know about the admission status by next week?

Good luck to everybody~~!!
