Anyone applying to Yale GEPN for fall of 08'

So am I....Time has flown by since the very day I was started the process of applying to Yale. Now I just pray that I at least get invited for an interview.
Kev what specialty are you applying for?

Applying for Acute Care NP and health care ethics cross-specialty :) I sent my application in last week (I detest their online application, so I decided to go primitive way).

Everybody in the student affairs has been very helpful and nice. I even received a personalized email yesterday, reminding me that 2 of my professors have not sent their letters in.

What about you Christina?

LOL. Yes, Women's Health is the specialty. Was you at the online chat on tuesday? I called admissions yesterday and asked if anymore transcripts had come in. I call at least once a month to check and see if my materials have arrived. I still have 1 more transcript to mail off. 2 more letters of recommendations and I take the GRE next week. So everything will arrive to them by the end of the month.

Im so scared too:idea:...I just want an interview.

Yes, I was at the online chat Tuesday. It was a pretty helpful session. So ... interviews are January 17, 18, and 22 I really really hope that we both get interviews! I really want to get into this program. I'm applying to 4 other schools (UCSF is one of them :uhoh21: ), but Yale is the one that I want to get in the most!

I'm retaking GRE this coming Monday, but I'm not gonna stress too much about it. My verbal score was horrible, but my quant and analytical writing are fine (competitive, based on YSN's website). I'm just going to give it a final shot next week and see how it goes. Good luck on GRE!

Let's chat sometime when you get a chance. I found out that sharing info's with other applicants make me feel better (sometimes )

hey guys, a friend of mine who's also applying to yale called them today to clarify what they expected on the goal statement and admissions said they DO NOT want us to number and answer the questions. They want it in essay form, in the order they asked for and they also want it to flow. Just letting you guys know in case it wasn't clear. I haven't even put together my essay yet, but it will be a lot of cut and paste from my other apps... anyways Good luck!

I just sent in my application and supplemental materials yesterday (10/16). I am real nervous that it is too late, but its out of my hands now! I am applying to the FNP program, and I am from the U of Minnesota w/ a degree in Kinesiology. I also applied/am applying to Boston College, Columbia, Northeastern, U of Illinois-Chicago, and U of Vermont...all for the direct entry FNP program. My top choices are Yale and Columbia, but would be happy just to get into one of them! Good luck everyone!

hey everyone!

I'm also applying to yale '08 for the Psych specialty. my number one choice is UCSF though....want to get in Sooo badly :lol2: ....but Yale has a very similar program that im interested in. But OMG...I am so far behind on the app process...lets just say that Physiology and Micro have been "getting in the way." Also applied to USanFrancisco, University of Washington-Seattle, Columbia, Georgetown, and CU-Denver. I'm all over the place. But oh man, UCSF would be so great. Is anyone else applying to psych specialties for nursing? I would love to hear.

I'm just about the other way around; I'm applying to both Yale and UCSF, but my number one choice is Yale

I just applied too for Yale's program and I believe they prefer 500 on both the verbal and quanitative (Total 1000) and 3.5 on the writing section. I'm sure they consider the rest of your application. There is no MINIMUM stated. The above is what they PREFER.
