Anyone applying to MJC or San Joaquin Delta College?

I'm applying to MJC and Delta for Fall '10. Just wondering if anyone else out there is also applying? :)

Thanks, Renee :)

Hi Renee, did they give you a ranking score last semester? Like you get 50 points for a 4.0 GPA and extra points for having clinical experience?

We were ranked. I do not remember what my score was, but the criteria is different this time anyway. I was alternate #2. I believe that 5 of the alternates got in....Hope that helps!

Here the scoring guide for our class...its quite different from the one thats up now...

Congrats WWE Diva! Now that part is over and I'm going to be anxious for the next 6 weeks to find out if I'm actually IN. I also need to find out about the graduation requirements for Delta. I have only taken the classes I needed to graduate from LMC, but I think each school's requirements are a little different :( Looks like I will be REALLY busy over the next two summers.

I know what you mean. This waiting game is aweful. Has anyone heard if it is recommend that we take medical terminology or not? Just trying to figure out my summer schedule...

I already took medical terminology and although I learned some charting abbreviations, I think you learn most of those terms in A&P and probably in nursing school. If you want to take it, it will help but if you're overloaded I think it's ok to skip it.

Do you ladies have a link or know the classes that are required for graduation? All I can find on the website are the pre-reqs for the nursing program, but not what's needed for the ADN. LMC doesn't require Nutrition, although I luckily took that. All I needed left for LMC is Speech and Drama...not sure if either of those are required for Delta. I know I need to make an appointment with a counselor, I would just like to have something to look over and plan out my summer schedules ;)

Oh, and I also took Med Term. Easiest class ever :)

San Joaquin Delta College

If you go into the academic catalog, you should be able to click on "health sciences division" and so on... hope that helps! Let me know if that works.

That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you!! It seems I still need to take speech and drama, regardless of which school I go to. The only thing I don't see is math, do you know which math is required?
