Anyone applying to MJC or San Joaquin Delta College?

Published

I'm applying to MJC and Delta for Fall '10. Just wondering if anyone else out there is also applying? :)

I just called too. Took me a while, but they register for you. Ahhh...relief.

I need you send you a fruit basket, shannycakes =D I was literally about to have a heart attack... maybe I can start chilling out now haha.

Oh, and just for future reference, get those official transcripts to Delta!

Cobee and Others: Call this # to register for classes. 209-476-7901. There is a problem with registering if you took pre-reqs outside of SJDC. Also, the uniform fitting is on the 8th from 10am-2pm. Lastly, make sure you register for BOTH ADN 1 and 2. Goodluck! See you all soon!

Haha you're too funny. It's really no problem- I was having a mini panic attack myself. I'm sure I'll need your help along the way at some point too :0) I totally had submitted my official transcripts to Delta but apparently that wasn't enough! GRRR

ALSO, the fitting is in Locke 228

Awesome, thanks D. I'll see you guys on the 8th!

Oh, and I hope I don't seem like I'm high strung or anything. I promise I'm a lot more chill in person haha.

By the way, which hospitals did you guys sign up for? Looks like St. Jo was the first one to fill up. And I couldn't sign up for the study skills class, were you able to?

I signed up for Lodi Memorial. I wasn't planning on taking the skills class. I may change my mind though. Cobee- You don't seem high strung! I had a mini heart attack this morning. This whole thing is like walking on egg shells. I mean we made it this far, and with all these deadlines. It's scary to think that you won't start school over some silly mistake.

I signed up for Kaiser in Manteca. I also signed up for the study skills class. I checked w/ the nursing office and was told to try the code #25923. Apparently it worked...

Cobee - I'm not promising that I won't be high strung in person! J/K :)

This is all very stressful and I'm sure there is a lot more to come.

Was everyone able to get into the study skills class? It was full by the time I registered, so were some of my clinical choices, ugggh!

ke2010 - Did you try the different section #? When I tried this morning to register, the section # that was given in our paperwork was showing that the class was full. Then I called the nursing office and they had said there was only one person enrolled so it shouldn't be full. So, I registered with section #25923 and it worked just fine. If it is full, I would just waitlist it. What clinical did you get into?

Thanks kpatterson! That code worked. Funny that code/class doesn't show up under open classes.

I wanted to get into Lodi for the clinicals but ended up at San Joaquin General. Im trying to avoid the drive to Tracy/Manteca. I see you got into Kaiser, I heard its a good place to learn.

Kpatterson- I also hear that Kaiser is a very desirable employer that pays well because of union. I'm sure that by doing clinicals there you get a good chance of being hired there. Maybe if it's a clinical choice in later semesters I'll sign up there despite the drive to gain some connections.
