Anyone Applying to Delta College for Spring 2011

Published

With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.

I feel like I've been running crazy for the past week...with all this and working FT..whew..can't wait til this is all turned in!

Harry, to get the actual letter/certificate I had to click on a link they send in an email after you purchase it.

I have a question about the liability insurance...our packet says we have to have 1M/5M for coverage but the NSO place they told us to use only allows up to 1M/3M...what now?!

Thanks for the info about the immunizations!!

Hey you guys mine is 1M/6M, are you sure you put in all the right info?

I am so glad we have more than just our pair of eyes looking at these documents!!!! I didn't even notice the limits! I lucked out and got the 1/6 anyways! Thanks for posting everyone!!!!!

hey everyone this is from the acceptance packet. "If you are currently licensed as a CNA, HHA, LVN or PT and are now entering the ADN Program:

• If you have current professional liability coverage, you should contact your insurance company and let them know you are now a RN Student. You will need to upload a copy of your current professional liability policy at CertifiedBackground.com

• If you have current professional liability coverage through NSO, contact them at 1-800-247-1500 to let them know you are a now a RN Student. They will endorse your policy to reflect this change.

• If you do not currently have professional AND are currently licensed as a CNA, HHA, LVN or PT and are purchasing coverage through NSO, you will need to contact NSO at their toll-free number for the appropriate application.

Carefully read the information on each application to be sure that you have selected the correct insurance. If you have any questions regarding coverage, contact the NSO at 1-800-247-1500."

hope this helps.

Yes, I am so glad we are all doing this together...I haven't gotten to this part yet, still working on the immunization part. Thanks everyone for posting their issues and resolutions!:D

I figured out why my insurance was only 1/3...they have me down as a CNA student because of my CNA certification, not a RN student. NSO just sent me an email with all of my info they have and I caught that on my policy info. Now I just need to call them and have them change it and hopefully that will fix the problem...

I am just so exhausted... I was running all day to get this all done. I have one more thing to do to see my MD and ready to upload at once. I was in the Nursing dept. today and if you have any questions email or call ---- .... She is very informative and supportive.

So is everyone uploading just the immunization form then? No one is uploading any test results?

Thats what I was gonna do, with regards to the form. Hope its right! I'm still waiting for test results...plus I have a doc from kaiser who just doesn't like to respond to email..so hopefully my form will be ready by then...eeeks.

How about uniforms, we are not suppose to pre-order, before the fitting, is that right? Would be nice if they sent out an email for that. Have a good night everyone..we will all get it done, then meet for a new endeavor! I'm excited! :p

I emailed them and told them that i won't be able to uplad my cpr cetificate by dec 17th.

They said its okay. but u have to put everything up by the end of this year...so don't freek out...u have a a lot of time.

and quilistudentnurse.....u are going for it now....I am glad.....

does anybody order his/ her uniform yet.....I was trying to do that...then, i decided to wait till fitting which is on dec 21st.

CARNWnt2b, I'm with you regarding the test results! I went on Friday and had my titers done and for some reason two of them aren't back yet. Not sure why it's taking so long and it's frustrating cause I can't reach my doctor. Hopefully I can get this taken care of this soon!

Did anyone buy the books? I know the bundle is only at the bookstore, and they close this weekend for the break and don't open up again until the beginning of Jan.
