Anyone Applying to Delta College for Spring 2011

Published

With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.

Slrberry, glad you will joining us!!!

Has anyone recieved their hep c results? I took mine Thursday am and still haven't recieved the results, wondering how long???

I took mine on Thursday too & Saturday they weren't in. The Dr said a few days so I figured by Tuesday they should be back.

Hi everyone I'm new to allnurses.com and all I have to say is wow. I read most of this thread and you guys been through a lot just to get into this program. Congrats to everyone who got in I'm really excited for you guys!

I really want to get into this program. Do you guys have any advice in getting into the program? I still have a while before I can apply for the program. I'm in my second year at Delta and I still have to take anatomy, physiology, and the TEAs before I apply.

hey guys..this part of our packet confuses me..see what you guys think...after the explanation on immunizations it says:

Consult your physician if you have questions about the immunization requirements. A statement from the physician verifying the administration of the vaccine, or reasons for not doing so, must be submitted with your medical records.

Ok so that means what?? Our dr. has to write a statement and we have to submit our test results too?? help i'm confused!

It means because of some reason....you can't able to do some kind of test. or the result is abnormal. you can ask your dr. to write a statement...why is it so?

God ...finals are there...and there are another 1000's things pending for Christmas, and additional 100's things for nursing thing. such a choas

I gave my blood on Thursday mid afternoon and the results were back Friday morning for the Hep B and Varicella titers and Heb C.

I know what you mean. I have been so caught up doing everything for nursing school, I have not studied for my algebra final Tuesday! I guess I'll be up late tomorrow

Has anyone uploaded thier records yet? I see what you guys were talking about now with the immunizations. Are we supposed to upload the immunization record form each time or the actual shot record etc... or both??? How confusing

Just try to do as best you can in your prereqs, A's if possible, and if your not in the medical field already see if you can volunteer somewhere. Try to do well on your TEAS to get the most points possible when applying.

I've began to upload mine. For the immunization sheet you just upload it once but you attach to all the requirements on that page. There are little check boxes so you just click on all that apply to that page and it attaches to each of them. I think for the written explanation it's just when you can't have something like if your pregnant.

Kristi-

I sent an email to the department just to check and see what they wanted so I'll let u know what they say..

Kwade-so basically u uploaded the form and just attatched it for each requirement??
