With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.
Roxy, I was thinking the same thing, about sending my transcripts in for evaluation. But I believe we're supposed to meet with a counselor first. On the Evaluation Request form it says they give priority to requests approved by a counselor. Otherwise the process can take a minimum of 6-8 weeks. What are you planning on doing?
Hmm, I don't think I'll have time to actually see a counselor since i have class everyday & i live in Sac so I guess I'll be sending my official transcripts with the evaluation form by mail & wait 6-8 weeks. I didn't think about this until the financial aid office emailed me saying that they require transcripts to be sent to A&R for evaluations so that the FA office can determine my awards package. Are you planning to see a counselor RNBound?
Also for those who are currently attending Delta & receiving the BOGG waiver, how do you know that you qualified for the waiver? Does it say on the delta financial aid system that BOGG will pay for your classes? Thanks in advance!
Hi Roxy922
I am a Delta Student on a Bogg Waiver and pretty sure it says it on the system. I will check into it this evening for you. As far as Evals go..I submitted mine in late May and barely had them finished in time for my Degree to be posted in August that was with going to see a counselor. It takes forever. They are just so understaffed!

Yes..on delta's financial page you click on an "awards" tab and it shows what you have been awarded. I talked to a current nursing student and she said she printed this page. This page also displays your name at the top and the year of award. hope that helped :)
Thanks everyone for the input on everything! I'm so happy we all found each other in this thread...At least we can all discuss everything as we anxiously wait for our emails...Hopefully we all get results back sooner than Dec 3..(ugh such a long wait!) ... and we all get accepted and can meet each other! Cheers to everyone here who has had so much determination as to even find this thread and give support to others!
Also..quick question for those of you using the "need to work part-time" under criterion 3...Would I have to prove that I worked for ALL prereqs(eng,nutrition,sciences,etc.)?...I've worked FT for all 3 science classes but not Eng & nutrition..would that work? Didn't know if it had to be every single prereq or not. I also checked difficult personal/family situations, so I will fill out that form if the prereq thing wont do.
AlyKat, I worked during my pre-reqs and the form says you just need to send proof for one semester of them. I just had my company type up a letter stating how long I had been working here which covers that time frame + more. If you don't get a letter then you would just need to submit paystubs for that semester time frame.
kristi80..please lmk when u get the response...I acutally had to get a letter that stated that I've been a CNA and worked the 1000+ hours anyway...and that states my start date..so I'm gunna include that and my paycheck stubs for those three semesters just to be safe! I'm a little worried bc I emailed the department bc I was recently married and my name hasn't been changed at the schools but is changed on my DL and CNA...so I asked them if they wanted a copy of my marriage license to verify it was me..and this is what they said
I see that you did not include that information on the application.
As long as you include something in the packet that will verify that the information you are submitting is you than it should be fine.
Hopefully this doesn't disqualify me
I also have a letter from my employer for my Medical Assistant hours. I really think it is only for one semester that we need to verify because of the wording, but I haven't heard back yet. What is the email address everyone has been using to ask questions? I want to make sure it is the right one. Thanks...
