Hi, everyone! I am a wife with 2 kids, 15 and 9. My husband is out of country now and for four more weeks. I am taking Spanish 1 and nutrition at DSC now to be able to apply to UCF at Daytona next year. I have a 4.0 GPA and 75 teas score. I don't think I have time to study to take another teas test with my summer classes. I am Chinese learning Spanish. It is not easy! I am just gonna hope that not everyone apply has a 4.0 GPA. I like to read your story if you like to share.:)
It is no problem! It's all information you'll find out anyway, I just wish someone had been around to give us a heads up of what it's really like! I mean, they tend to not want to scare you so they sugar coat things a little bit, but I think it's worth being prepared. The first semester is going to have you really challenging yourself and asking yourself whether or not you really want this. And you do! Even as busy as they say this Fall semester is for us, I find it much easier to deal with. The first really is the most stressful, even if there are more *difficult* semesters. So keep that in mind :)
No response. I called to verify that they received my signed acceptance. The woman I spoke to on the phone told me that the information packet (which is sent out as an email) would either be sent out Friday the 16th or Monday the 19th. As of this morning, I still have not received an email from them. I think they like to take their time on everything. :)
No, they told us in December what classes and sections to sign up for. I'm sure you could go on MyUCF and look up the Daytona spring classes and get a feel for it (though you will not be in Care of the Adult II and Psychiatric Nursing - those are for the seniors ;] ). I believe it was M/W and then clinicals were thrown on either Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. But that is entirely up to your clinical instructor and so are the times you will be at clinical. And they may switch from week to week. Just keep M-F open for class and your weekends open to study. :)

Thanks for filling us all in Kay. I am very excited to be starting the program (Cocoa campus). I like all the "inside information" you are able to provide. :)
