Hi, everyone! I am a wife with 2 kids, 15 and 9. My husband is out of country now and for four more weeks. I am taking Spanish 1 and nutrition at DSC now to be able to apply to UCF at Daytona next year. I have a 4.0 GPA and 75 teas score. I don't think I have time to study to take another teas test with my summer classes. I am Chinese learning Spanish. It is not easy! I am just gonna hope that not everyone apply has a 4.0 GPA. I like to read your story if you like to share.:)

We have not heard anything yet as far as acceptance. I think some denial letters have gone out but thats about it. Should be Thursday or Friday of this week according to the lady in the CON.

Well guys, tomorrow may be the day we hear something... although it wont surprise me at all if they drag this out til Friday :/ fingers crossed for all of us. And Demi, what did they tell you about your TEAS scores?

I'm still waiting as well...Started the Daytona State AS nursing program this past Monday, so at least I have been busy with that! Still hoping to hear a yes from UCF for Spring, and I will go ahead and do this semester at Daytona State. If nothing else, it will give me a good knowledge base for my 1st semester at UCF and should make it a bit easier I hope. So far, 1st semester is very strenuous as far as amount of material that must be read each week, the books weigh more than I do, and the pace is pretty fast, but it is totally doable. A lot of common sense stuff and they really go easy on the super technical things it seems at first. I can do vitals now, which makes me feel like I am finally learning something I will be using! Good luck to all of us! I will post as soon as I receice anything. :)

So Ali, if you get accepted to UCF you are still going to complete the semester at DSC? I know it would be good to get all the info, but I would think you would want the break before the intensity begins;) Don't you have to return all the books and uniforms? And yes it is very helpful to know how to take vitals. I have been doing them on every patient while in the dental hygiene program so Im very comfortable with that aspect, although Im sure it is just a spec of sand in the sea that is nursing, lol. GOOD LUCK!!!

I just got my email! I got in!!!!! Woo hoo!!! Good luck to everyone else!:hpygrp::hpygrp:

I'm in too!!!! I am going to finish up my 1st semester at DSC for the knowledge base then start ucf in the spring. My personal email is [email protected] let's stay in touch! By the way, the email we sent, I assume that's what we sign and send back? There weren't any attachments...I'm so glad we got in1!

Congrats you two! I was also accepted (Cocoa). Good luck and happy studying!

Congratulations you guys! See you in December if you go to the Meet and Greet :)

I received my acceptance letter also! Can't wait to meet everyone!! Congrats to everyone :yeah:

Anyone know where the meet and greet will be (location?) just curious. Congrats to all. We have worked so hard to get here, and are about to work harder!

Congratulation!

When I fax my teas score to UCF, they said it was too late to sent it. Today they send me an email. Now I am on the waiting list.... So wish me luck.

The Meet and Greet is usually at the start of December at the Daytona campus. Just for you guys to meet each other and for the incoming class to meet us Seniors and pick our brains :p
