Hi, everyone! I am a wife with 2 kids, 15 and 9. My husband is out of country now and for four more weeks. I am taking Spanish 1 and nutrition at DSC now to be able to apply to UCF at Daytona next year. I have a 4.0 GPA and 75 teas score. I don't think I have time to study to take another teas test with my summer classes. I am Chinese learning Spanish. It is not easy! I am just gonna hope that not everyone apply has a 4.0 GPA. I like to read your story if you like to share.:)
Looks like we will be rewarded with even more waiting. Haha. Based on looking at last years forum of the same exact nature, they wait until the last acceptance date to send replies to those that already sent in their accept/decline notices.
I'm beginning the think the first lesson of this program is Patience.
Thanks for the heads up. I've been looking at the Handbook online to try to start getting my papers in order and double-checking my immunizations/etc. Do you remember if they required a flu shot? It sounds pretty much like all the typical rotation requirements, immuns, CPR, HIV/AIDS training, physical, etc..
Kay, I had also read previously in another thread that they say the men's pants are more comfortable than the women's, can you speak to that being true? Thanks in advance for insight.
Honestly, I have no problems with the women's pants. I guess I can break it down.
For the mens pants, it depends on your size. We're sized differently than men. For me, I tried the mens mediums and they were just a tad too tight, but the larges were way too large. There are a few girls in my class who swear by them, but they didn't work for me. For the men's tops, I got one because they were less see-through, but honestly if you wear a nude coloured bra with the women's tops it isn't noticeable. One thing I did notice is they are wide around the top and waist and taper down around the hips more, which for a girl who is bottom heavy (or really any girl with a set of hips) is not as comfortable and makes me look as if I am wearing a white sack.
The girls top and bottoms, they are a bit more sheer of a fabric but nothing horribly exposing. But you WILL want to invest in nude coloured undergarments. White works too but I feel it is more noticeable. Coloured is out - everyone will see.

Thank you! I am really excited! I am currently in Daytona State's RN program, so hopefully that 1st semester's experience will help me with my 1st semester at UCF. Congrats and can't wait to meet everyone!
