Just looking for company ... Has anyone applied for ammerman's fall 2011 nursing program? What are your grades and does anyone know last years GPA cutoff? Also, do you know anyone who got in without four A's?
This is a new thread...others are from a few urs ago.
Hi, guys. I got my letter of acceptance for the LPN to RN program at SCCC. I've already decided to go to Farmingdale though. It just makes better sense because I can be graduated by May 2012 as opposed to December or May '13. Congrats to you all who have gotten your letters, and to those that haven't gotten them yet, relax, they are on their way.
Good luck to everyone and congrats:yeah:
JeannieG congratualtions, great to see some one with choices. I didn't realize the SCCC LPN to RN was 18 months. I'm still waiting on the 2 year RN programs from SCCC and SBU. You know it's hard to type with your fingers crossed so I hope they let us know soon... Best of luck at Farmingdale!
Hey just wondering... I know the SBU hopefulls often report that on the program's website there is a new student tab added to their Solar page prior to getting written acceptance. Does anyone know if there is anything like that for SCCC? The only thing I heard so far is that you are hoping for a thick envelope rather than a thin one in the mailbox...
Buckaroo, the envelope I got from SCCC was a regular letter-sized envelope, but very full. As far as the website goes, there is nothing that says you're accepted. I got my letter, and if I look at the admissions tab under student records, it says "not entered." I'm sure you'll hear something soon. Just hang tight.

mySCCC wont change until they get your deposit for your seat, when they get that, they will change your major to nursing in the computer so you will be able to register for classes. my envelope was a regular size but it had like 10 pages in it so it was pretty thick.

How much is the deposit and how long do they give you to send it in? Just curious because I'd rather go to stony brook, but wont want to risk losing a seat at Suffolk either.

$100 non refundable and you have 2 weeks from the letter's date to get it in. i have the same problem but i'm just gonna pay it because i just called SBU and now they're saying early may. so i'm just gonna pay it and hope they can just apply it to the remainder of my tuition payments for this semester if i end up getting into stony brook. i was gonna wait until monday but i think i'm just gonna go to the cashier for it tomorrow. i am kinda disappointed to know we have to wait another month for stony brook, i was really hoping for april.

I don't really believe what they say in the nursing office about the date because that lady always told me May, since I first submitted the application. I feel like she just doesn't want people to keep calling her about it. The same day the admissions office at the Health Science Center told me March or April.
