  1. Did you buy all eight books or just the required books?
  2. Lpnpascale....that website is great for the name tag but what size?
  3. I was at the evening orientation too. I was more worried about the costs of things! I have to figure out how I will pay for everything! The info itself was really not much more than we already knew. But the ati stuff threw me for a loop! And I wish that they spent more time on uniform requirements. The handbook says no scrubs and it's hard to find a nursing uniform that does not fit in the category of "scrubs".
  4. I sent an email to the department to make sure the website is updated/correct for clinical sites. I will let everyone know what I hear.
  5. The second letter was all about orientation...maybe only some got it...that is strange. Either way i guess we will know more at orientation.
  6. The last letter that came from nursing department had two pages. The second page listed all of the crns for nur 101 and their respective clinical sites. These sites are different from the clinical sites listed on webpage for the same crn.... Hopefully that is clearer...sorry!
  7. I checked the nursing clinical page too....the info is different from what was on second page of letter that came about orientation. There are different sites on each. How do we know which one is correct?
  8. Yes I got that letter yesterday. I just assumed the agendavwas the chart on page two with clinical sites. Whew...thought I missed something. Thanks!
  9. Congtratulations to all who made it from waiting list!!!! BOLO...what do you mean by agenda?
  10. This is for Suffolk county community college fall 2011 evening program...the deadline was January 1st. There is a deadline of June 1st for the grant campus of sccc which would start in the spring of 2012.
  11. Congratulations! Is this for the regular nursing ammerman evening or the lpn to rn?
  12. Welcome to the club! I will be 32 in September, right after nursing school starts. I have four kids and a husband(or fifth kid, depending on how you look at it) and STILL share a house with my parents...sounds like we have a lot in common!
  13. Hi Crash...the evening lectures and labs usually start at 6 or later. You are right though that the night clinicals, usually one day a week, start at 4:30. This is because they have to allot us enough time in the clinical as it runs to 10:50, I believe or even 11:00. I hope you can work out flex hours on clinical days with your employer. If you look ahead at upcoming semesters, I believe the clinicals are only one day per week per semester for evening. As a matter of fact, the next semester I believe the clinical was on a Saturday...check it out to see for yourself and to try and plan ahead before you approach your employer. Do you work in healthcare now? That might help you out a bit when you state your case. Either way, it is an incredible opportunity, so I hope you can make it work! I have registered as well...mon, we'd, thurs (clinical) and online course for nursing success.
  14. Congratulations crash! See you in the fall!
  15. Deposit down! Schedule set....nursing school here I come!
