anyone apply for sccc fall 2011 nursing program?

Published

Just looking for company ... Has anyone applied for ammerman's fall 2011 nursing program? What are your grades and does anyone know last years GPA cutoff? Also, do you know anyone who got in without four A's?

This is a new thread...others are from a few urs ago.

So there was an acceptance of applicants within of 3.8 - 4.0 range... pretty competitive.

Thank you!

I too have applied to Ammerman day and Grant day (second choice). I'm really hoping to be accepted into Stony Brook's BSN program, but Suffolk is my backup plan. Good luck to everyone!

In my developmental psych class last year there were a few people that had applied to the program and they didn't receive their acceptance/wait list/denial letter until beginning of May, so I don't expect to hear anytime soon.

I was looking at an old thread from last year and it looked like the thread got pretty exciting around "Tax Day" April 15th. KJM84, like you I have applications in for Stony Brook 2 year, Ammerman Day and Grant Day.

Specializes in NICU, neonates, newborns.

april just seems soooo far away! and i don't think we will hear anything from stony brook until at least may, considering the Accelerated BSN applicants only just heard when they were supposed to have known for like a month or two now.

Ruby, someone on the SBU Accelerated BSN thread mentioned speaking with SBU staff yesterday and they are hoping to get decisions for the fall program out in April (of course this is an estimate so you never know). Good luck, positive thoughts!

They should! I want to know! :) does anyone know how many applicants applied to the basic bsn program at SBU? When I went to the info session in November, they said 640 to the accelerated program. I was curious if the basic is more or less (less hopefully)

Hi everyone. I applied to Ammerman. Days first choice, evenings second choice. I took all the pre req's at Grant, but I moved out to Port Jeff. I'm in micro at Grant right now. I would like to do the ASN to BRN bridge program at Stony Brook in a couple of years, so I'm trying to do as many of the classes as I can now. I got 4 A's in the pre-req's, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope to see all of you soon!

Hey Bolo, I have about the same aspirations, will be wiating to here from SCCC and SBU. My grades are about the same and I took Micro last semester, taking Social Psych and a Forensic Bio class if needed for prereq's for SBU. Good luck, if prior history is any indication looks like April will be the timeline for notifications from both programs... Good luck!

I have all A's as well, which is perfect for SCCC, but not necessarily SBU especially being I'm currently in micro and organic chem. Anyway, one more month and I presume we will find out from both programs.

How Y'all doin? Just been pacing so far, nail biting season officially starts in two weeks!

trying to be patient!!!!! its not really working though. lol. i'm trying to stay busy between work and my classes. i also redid my apartment furniture and stuff but now im left with nothing new to do..... so im just thinking about sbu & scc! blah!

Okay if this was football I would have gotten a 5 yard penalty for a "False Start". Got an official looking envelope from SCCC yesterday and of course did not carefully read the outside first... it was only an application for general student accident insurance. Got me going though!!!! Have to go rip out some sheetrock, probably good therapy!
