how was it? can you share your experiences? I heared there's a height requirement? Did they already pick applicants that are for training?

hi..I am done with my technical interview however ms. gianna told me that I was to be put on the second priority list because I have to lose a little weight and I have slight "sungki".Its really nerve wracking..She told me that second priorities will be contacted by next year..Anybody here who have the same problem as mine??will st lukes still contact me?:bluecry1:

hi everyone! Me and my friend were at St. Luke's at around 10:30 am today. We passed our resume, resume only, and then the guard gave us a form to be filled up and at 11:15 we had our IQ test. I passed the exam and was told to wait for their call within this week for initial interview. I was really happy and excited but from what I am reading in this forum, I suddenly got anxious. I'm really not good in english, and not so confident in speaking the language, but I will practice now. :D

I have some questions. After the initial interview, and you qualified, you will be scheduled for technical interview right? After passing the technical interview what will happen next? Do trainees get "salary" or "allowance"? :D and for how long? thanks.

i just passed my application yesterday, the guard told me to just leave my resume. I had all the other requirements but it seems like they don't need it yet. I was told that the requirements will be passed during the initial interview. I do hope I get a call from them... there are not many hospitals accepting applications at this time.:scrying:

I just passed the IQ test this morning and was told to wait for their call for the initial interview. Im not that good in english and is not so confident in speaking the language but I would definitely practice. :D

After passing the initial interview, you would be scheduled for technical interview right? after that, what's next? Would they schedule you for medical exam? and also, after passing all the exams, you will have a training for 3 months? Do trainees get an allowance? :) after completing the 3month-training, what will happen next? sorry for so many questions... :D

Really? that's absrurd. well, if they assured you that you will be called next year, you have no other choice but to take their word for it. you can apply to other hospitals while waiting for their call.. i was told by ms.gianna that they're really strict in hiring their new nurses because they want their pioneer batch to be "ideal" as they called it..

you should wait for their call for the technical interview about a month or so, and before that, you should really practice speaking in fluent English as that reflects a lot on your application. don't mention words like, "uhmm" and "ano" because the nurses who were interviewed with me spoke like that and they didn't get hired. you should try practicing in front of a mirror speaking in English and answering some possible questions the interview is quite easy because the questions they will ask will be based from funda, prof ad, and ms.:imbar

after passing the interview, you will be told if you get in or not, and you will fill up an employee employment form and be sent to medical exam right away. they will call you for the schedule of your training. during the training, you will get 75% of the monthly allowance, and the training will last for about 3 months, after that, probationary status for 6 months, then deployment as contractual.:yeah:

thanks incubusaddict. so in technical interview they would be questioning about ms, prof ad and funda. how about the initial interview? and what does probationary mean? thanks a lot!

Hi incubusaddict!:)She told me that they get only 50 trainees a month. So I guess I still have to wait. She told me that training would be by next year but she forgot to mention when the medical will be.Right now I am concentrating on losing the excess weight plus I am thinking about getting my teeth fixed..

May I just ask..Were you scheduled for a medical the day after passing your technical interview? Can we call their office for follow ups?your responses are greatly appreciated..Thank you:yeah::bowingpur

You do not get scheduled for a medical exam until you have actually been offered a position. Getting thru the technical exam in no way guarantees that one is going to get hired by them.

Wait until they take the time to process your file, there is no reason to follow up this soon with them.

the requirements will be passed after you've passed the technical interview. didn't you had your IQ test when you passed your application?

no, is just left my resume with the guard and he let me sign up on a paper. all the other applicants with me at that time didn't get IQ tests either. Should I be worried?

you're welcome. :D but don't focus only on those topics, sometimes they would randomly ask about pedia, psych, ob, etc.. but the questions are very basic, believe me.

about the initial interview, they would just ask about the basic stuff as well, like, tell me about yourself/family/school, future plans, etc. basic HR interview.

probationary means that you are not a regular employee yet, but you are already receiving the salary of an entry-level nurse. that status would last for 6 months. they will eventually hire you depending on your level of competence during the training and on how well you did during your probee status. but basically, it's just one step closer on becoming a contractual nurse at st.luke's.

goodluck on your application and goodluck to all of us! :yeah:
