how was it? can you share your experiences? I heared there's a height requirement? Did they already pick applicants that are for training?
hi everyone! Me and my friend were at St. Luke's at around 10:30 am today. We passed our resume, resume only, and then the guard gave us a form to be filled up and at 11:15 we had our IQ test. I passed the exam and was told to wait for their call within this week for initial interview. I was really happy and excited but from what I am reading in this forum, I suddenly got anxious. I'm really not good in english, and not so confident in speaking the language, but I will practice now.![]()
I have some questions. After the initial interview, and you qualified, you will be scheduled for technical interview right? After passing the technical interview what will happen next? Do trainees get "salary" or "allowance"?
and for how long? thanks.
hi!
question for you, so you took IQ test on the day you passed your resume?
coz when i passed mine, they said they will call me in 3 wks to a month.:zzzzz
your from what school?
thank you!
don't consider it as something unusual. Probably, those papers you have seen belong to all who were scheduled for the interview that day. I passed my resume too last tuesday, September 23, and I, too, wasn't given any papers or forms to where my picture should be pasted. However, I have seen application papers, the one you were referring to, but the guard told me they belong to those who were scheduled for technical interview. I was there 9am so i don't think that much papers could have accumulated in a span of an hour. And as to the guard, he seemed nice and polite so I don't get it when people badmouth about them.
As to board rating, well, i don't think it is necessary but it may add up a little something, but the overall decision will purely depend on how you present yourself should you be interviewed and the content of the answers you give. goodluck to both of us. :)
----- the ones who came before me didnt look like they were jst in a technical interview or in any interview at all. I went there at around 3pm that time. The people who were there only wore rubbershoes and shirt... so... for sure they were not there for any interviews. I mean who would go to an interview wearing rubbershoes and shirt? Just a thought..

hi there. Maybe you were not given the application form because it 3pm already. Even my friend who came in the afternoon a day before we went to SLMC didn't get any application form. I think she just signed in the log book and was told that they will call her for the exam. But when we were there at 10:30 AM, we were given an application form by the guard and by 11AM we headed for the IQ test. All are in their corporate attire. I dont know but maybe you try some other day and be early this time. :)
hi..just want to clarify regarding the technical interview. is it true that its a panel interview? that you will be interviewed by four nurses alone? or with other applicants? and how does the throwing of questions goes? are they going to ask the applicants the same question or different question per applicant? and how many questions per applicant? are the questions more of the nursing considerations or the basic idea of a certain topic?sorry for asking too many questions.. i so much wanted to pass the technical interview (that is if i were given the chance
- im done with my initial interview) and be part of SLMC-GC. im really anxious about the technical interview given the fact that i've been working in a callcenter for more than a year now.. and i know that i have a lot of catching up to do.. so please, anyone here who could give info regarding the technical interview.. i mean what kind of questions so i'll have an idea on to what extent i should review my notes.. thank you so much for the help.
2 people will interview you along with 4 other applicants. different question per applicant and a total of 10 questions each. i suggest that you review everything, you'll never know what question they will throw at you.

hi.. i have answered those questions several times in other threads..
again, in technical interview(this is based on my experience), you would be with other applicants, maybe 5 or 6 and there will be two interviewers
the entire interview would focus on core competencies of nurses..
for example, core #1 is safe and effective care.. the interviewers would throw different scenarios on this topic for each of you, and would ask you wat are you going to do if you are in that situation.. get it?
i think there are 10 core competencies (correct me if im wrong) so all in all, there would be 10 questions for each of you excluding the follow up questions for your answers..
the questions are essay type, like what i have said, these are basic scenarios or situations...so whether u have previous experience or you dont have any, you will be able to answer it...
believe me..

yes nursepards, we took the test the day we passed our resume.
my friend too was told by the guard that they will call her. what time did you arrive in st. luke's? She came in the afternoon and that was what they said to her.
I am from perpetual las pinas. :wink2:

after passing the technical interview, you will undergo laboratory and xray for your training clearance. if you get in the training, you need to pass the requirements needed for training. they will give you the list of requirements. then you will wait for their call regarding your schedule for training... the training's for three months. they will be the one to pay you. after the training, you'll be working at st lukes quezon city as probationary employees until st. lukes bgc opens next year.
thanks incubusaddict. so in technical interview they would be questioning about ms, prof ad and funda. how about the initial interview? and what does probationary mean? thanks a lot!
the initial interview will be about yourself and what you've written on your application form. practice speaking in english... it's very important that you speak well because they want slmc-bgc to be like this english speaking hospital... i think it's for the medical tourism thing.
anyway, from my experience, during the initial interview, those who weren't able to speak english well weren't accepted.
probationary means that you'd still be under observation first before they take you in as a regular employee.
May I just ask..Were you scheduled for a medical the day after passing your technical interview? Can we call their office for follow ups?your responses are greatly appreciated..Thank you:yeah::bowingpur
after our technical interview, our batch were scheduled for the medical exam the following day. the next day, while we were waiting for our turn in the xray area, we met applicants who were told to go directly to the laboratory for their medical exam right after they passed their technical interview that morning.
hmmm i dont get it. for those of you who got hired.. if its ok, may i ask what was your overall board rating?the guard there is such an ass. when i went there to pass my resume he didnt give me a paper that i should fill up and put my 1x1 pic. but the people who came earlier than me, they were given that piece of paper.
81.6%..
they probably reached their quota for that day... i heard there are a lot of people applying that they even changed their employment process to really sift through all the applicants.
hi guys, im one of the few RNs from cagayan de oro city who was scheduled for a technical interview this coming October...the problem is i really dont know what to expect!!! what are the posible questions?
:crying2:
:bluecry1:
can anyone tell me what are the possible questions? what will i expect?
thank you so much....
the questions that were asked during the technical interview revolved around MS, OB, etc. i was even asked a 2 questions on psychiatric nursing. the questions are mostly situational... we were only asked about 3 identification questions. just remember what you do during your RLE and how you handled patients with different needs.
hope this helps! good luck!
