I will try to go to POEA. are you sure that all papers should be authenticated? Just want to make sure.
  2. @Blabber I would like to know more about what you mean when you said BE PREPARED. I am now tempted to work in Saudi now that most of the hospitals here in the Philippines are not hiring. i have no experience yet, i graduated last year and passed the local boards the same year. Is it safe for female nurses to work there? are they some kind of a maniac or something? Peace! :)
  3. kyckerz, no. We took the exam at 11:15 am. :)
  4. i took the exam last tuesday too. maybe we're in the same room that day. yeah, I was waiting for their call the whole week last week but its ok. some waited for a month. hopefully i wont be waiting that long.
  5. oh, so you were interviewed first. in my case i took the assessment test first. and now i'm waiting for the call for the initial interview.
  6. yes nursepards, we took the test the day we passed our resume. my friend too was told by the guard that they will call her. what time did you arrive in st. luke's? She came in the afternoon and that was what they said to her. I am from perpetual las pinas. :wink2:
  7. hi there. Maybe you were not given the application form because it 3pm already. Even my friend who came in the afternoon a day before we went to SLMC didn't get any application form. I think she just signed in the log book and was told that they will call her for the exam. But when we were there at 10:30 AM, we were given an application form by the guard and by 11AM we headed for the IQ test. All are in their corporate attire. I dont know but maybe you try some other day and be early this time. :)
  8. wow! super scary... thank you incubus for patiently answering my questions. you're a big help.
  9. thanks incubusaddict. so in technical interview they would be questioning about ms, prof ad and funda. how about the initial interview? and what does probationary mean? thanks a lot!
  10. I just passed the IQ test this morning and was told to wait for their call for the initial interview. Im not that good in english and is not so confident in speaking the language but I would definitely practice. After passing the initial interview, you would be scheduled for technical interview right? after that, what's next? Would they schedule you for medical exam? and also, after passing all the exams, you will have a training for 3 months? Do trainees get an allowance? :) after completing the 3month-training, what will happen next? sorry for so many questions...
  11. hi everyone! Me and my friend were at St. Luke's at around 10:30 am today. We passed our resume, resume only, and then the guard gave us a form to be filled up and at 11:15 we had our IQ test. I passed the exam and was told to wait for their call within this week for initial interview. I was really happy and excited but from what I am reading in this forum, I suddenly got anxious. I'm really not good in english, and not so confident in speaking the language, but I will practice now. I have some questions. After the initial interview, and you qualified, you will be scheduled for technical interview right? After passing the technical interview what will happen next? Do trainees get "salary" or "allowance"? and for how long? thanks.
  12. a friend called SLMC-QC and asked if she could pass her resume and requirements and they said that they do not accept applicants anymore.
  13. I totally agree. My friend went to the PGH yesterday to get requirements for the training of new nurses who wants to work in PGH. They said we have to pay P6,000 for the training of 6months and they would hire nurses depending on the result of the training. I am a 2nd courser, as much as possible i want to earn money already. So now that i have received my certificate of passing, i want to apply as nurse staff in a hospital that would give training with PAY/ALLOWANCE. but then again, do hospitals hire now? i was hearing news that hospitals are now freezehiring so where would i go?
  14. another sad thing here is, someone from the govt (senator or congressman, i dont know) wants nurses, doctors and teachers ( and i think engineers too) to stay here after graduation for 2 years before leaving for other country to work because accdg to him, we are lacking of these professional people. As a nurse, it's ok for me to stay here for 2 years as long as THEY would give me WORK. but most of the hospitals, because of cost-cutting maybe, dont hire nurses even though the nurse-patient ratio is getting higher.
  15. wow! that's very good to hear. Thanks! Do they accept newly grads? Plus I dont have enough trainings. I will start BLS training nextweek, IVT training on the last week of sept. and so many others.
