how was it? can you share your experiences? I heared there's a height requirement? Did they already pick applicants that are for training?
You do not get scheduled for a medical exam until you have actually been offered a position. Getting thru the technical exam in no way guarantees that one is going to get hired by them.Wait until they take the time to process your file, there is no reason to follow up this soon with them.
yep, suzanne is right. after the technical interview, your group will have to wait for a while until ms.gianna will approach you guys and talk to you one by one. this is the most exciting and yet scarriest part. she will tell you right away if you passed or not and if you did, you will be given a form to fill up for their records and then they will schedule you for a medical exam right away.
no, is just left my resume with the guard and he let me sign up on a paper. all the other applicants with me at that time didn't get IQ tests either. Should I be worried?
no you shouldn't be worried. i, too, just passed my application and waited for a month for their call. but the processing of their application was different from yours, I had my IQ test AFTER i got hired, weird huh. maybe because of the number of applicants, they've changed their procedure in screening their applicants. goodluck on your interview!
you're welcome.but don't focus only on those topics, sometimes they would randomly ask about pedia, psych, ob, etc.. but the questions are very basic, believe me.
about the initial interview, they would just ask about the basic stuff as well, like, tell me about yourself/family/school, future plans, etc. basic HR interview.
probationary means that you are not a regular employee yet, but you are already receiving the salary of an entry-level nurse. that status would last for 6 months. they will eventually hire you depending on your level of competence during the training and on how well you did during your probee status. but basically, it's just one step closer on becoming a contractual nurse at st.luke's.
goodluck on your application and goodluck to all of us!
wow! super scary... thank you incubus for patiently answering my questions. you're a big help.
hmmm i dont get it. for those of you who got hired.. if its ok, may i ask what was your overall board rating?
the guard there is such an ass. when i went there to pass my resume he didnt give me a paper that i should fill up and put my 1x1 pic. but the people who came earlier than me, they were given that piece of paper.

what did he tell you exactly? maybe they're already reached the quota of applicants that day that's why they didn't entertain you. my board rating is 81%.

don't consider it as something unusual. Probably, those papers you have seen belong to all who were scheduled for the interview that day. I passed my resume too last tuesday, September 23, and I, too, wasn't given any papers or forms to where my picture should be pasted. However, I have seen application papers, the one you were referring to, but the guard told me they belong to those who were scheduled for technical interview. I was there 9am so i don't think that much papers could have accumulated in a span of an hour.
And as to the guard, he seemed nice and polite so I don't get it when people badmouth about them.
As to board rating, well, i don't think it is necessary but it may add up a little something, but the overall decision will purely depend on how you present yourself should you be interviewed and the content of the answers you give. goodluck to both of us. :)

I wasn't given the application form too. I was just asked to sign up on a piece of paper together with the other applicants who were there at he moment. Different applicants coming at different times seem to undergo different procedures.

do you have to fly all the way to manila for the technical interview?
you should expect questions about ms, pedia, psych, ob, prof ad, nursing management, research, funda. just scan through these topics and you'll be fine.

After the technical exam, I was told immediately that I passed and I got the job offer and yes, I was scheduled to take the medical exam right away.
St. Luke's BGC doesn't like follow ups so try to be a little bit patient, i know its hard but it's for the best.:imbar
if i were you, i'd look for other hospitals that offer training programs, like QMMC while waiting for their call so as not to become idle for a while. or, you can take up BLS, ACLS, EKG and IVT trainings if you still don't have them. and besides, when they do call you, you can tell them that you have spent your time wisely by keeping yourself preoccupied with such trainings.
