I am glad to hear the first quarter went well for you. I did take the TEAS but unfortunately wasn't selected for the program. I've decided to look into another program but am glad that things are working out for you. Please keep me posted about your progress next quarter ----- Good Encouragement!!!!

Awww. Sorry to hear that you were not selected. :crying2:

But I am glad to hear that you are looking into other options and won't let this hurdle stop you from doing what you want to do. Just keep on keeping on and you'll get there.

Hey Stephc,

I wanted to see how things have been going for you and when you were going to complete the program? I thought it was 5 quarters but wasn't sure about. I am considering applying again to the fall 2011 class but am not sure about some of the not so good feedback/experiences I have been getting/hearing from the program and since your in it wanted to get your take. How would your rate the program overall so far and do you think there are improvements that can be made?

Things are going pretty good. I won't lie, it has been a very stressful time. We started with 24 students in October and as of today we only have 14. :eek: It is a very tough program but from what I hear, it is the norm for nursing programs. I will graduate (God willing) in August. 4 quarters of the actual nursing program. The 5th quarter is supposed to be the pre-reqs, but it took me longer than a quarter to do all those. lol!

Not sure of anything that I'd change though. The only thing and it's not up to DTC, is the 70 average thing. They go from test to test and if you drop below the 70...you are gone. That is something from the clinical sites themselves. If you can't go to clinicals you can't pass the course. So that sucks.

I like DTC, but I would give a look to others if you are unsure. Find the best fit for you. :) Just be prepared to hustle no matter where you go...it is very fast paced. But it is doable. :)

Shemeka and stephc1973 you two are very encouraging to me. Meka you know you have been my rock the past few months and i wish you luck where ever you go but i want you and i to enter DTC program together and succeed........lol. :lol2: :lol2: Stephc1973 I am very glad to hear you are making it and i know you will graduate in August please continue to share your good stories with us. Hi tkour10 i am also applying in May but i am very confuse :confused: as to what they requires. i did hear the are accepting 75ppl this time and with everything going to semester now a lot has changed just make sure you have a GPA higher that a 3.0 and study a lot. cool...I passed too, didnt score as high as I wanted but I definitely passed. When I heard they were only taking 25....I almost got mad and left out the room LOL.

I am hoping to be accepted in the fall 2011. I passed my TEAS test.......which I was so scared about. I saw so many people get up and walk out in tears! It sure doesnt seem like that many passed the test. Does anyone know about how many people passed the test? just curious.....
