LPN Travel
Hi Barbara & Strawberrycool, I am on my first travel 8-week assignment in Vermont and have just finished my first week. I was wondering if you felt like your contracts were as competitive as they are for RN's, like license reimbursement, renewal bonuses and rental cars. I also wanted to know how long your contracts were? I have spoken with ReadyNurse as well and hope to travel with them next year. I am also working in long-term care and since I've mostly been doing this for a while and found it to be the same stuff but in a different state. Thankfully, I'm familiar with the computer system so it's not all that new. Were ya'll doing electronic charging at your facilities?

Georgia LPN -BSN via ISU
I am trying to complete the challenge exams before June as well. I heard you don't have to get the books from the college network. Are you all using other tools/books to study with?

Problem with RN license renewal this year
This is happening to me now. I am a new grad and very upset. They make us do a background check but can't determine our citizenship. I took my test almost two weeks ago and sent in my paperwork and there still saying it may take 7-10 business days... Just ridiculous and they will not let you know if the document have been recieved. Very poor system

WORK,and Going to school for nursing??
I agree with everyone about checking with school to find out their requirements. I do know that most schools will look at your GPA and test scores and weigh them differently for admission. Some schools weigh more heavily on grades and others on tests it just depends. As far as working and going to school, I think it's the best decision I made and has made me so much more comfortable with being at the beside with patients in different settings. I also think it differentiates you from other applicants once you graduate and shows you have some nursing care experience. BEST of LUCK!!! Nursing is a GREAT career choice.

Hospital Beep Syndrome
I feel your pain. I have gone from having normal senses to now my hearing is super sensitive ( Esp. Call lights, pump alarms and cell phones) and my sense of smell is little to none. The sacrifices made for nursing. :)

Chamberlain BSN program opening in Atlanta???
Hi phrozenone Did they tell you anything about the application process? How many students are they accepting for the next term? I agree these private schools have made getting an education very expensive.
