Hi Barbara & Strawberrycool, I am on my first travel 8-week assignment in Vermont and have just finished my first week. I was wondering if you felt like your contracts were as competitive as they are for RN's, like license reimbursement, renewa...

How is your contract going underthemoonicp6? I will be also traveling to Burlington for a contract from the southeast. Were you able to find housing? I've decided to let my company provide the housing since I'm not familiar with the area.

I am trying to complete the challenge exams before June as well. I heard you don't have to get the books from the college network. Are you all using other tools/books to study with?

I feel your pain. I have gone from having normal senses to now my hearing is super sensitive ( Esp. Call lights, pump alarms and cell phones) and my sense of smell is little to none. The sacrifices made for nursing. :)
HESI, these schools really drive me crazy with all these different test that you have to take that is pretty much are all the same just to get into a program.
Hi phrozenone Did they tell you anything about the application process? How many students are they accepting for the next term? I agree these private schools have made getting an education very expensive.

Hi puravida, How has your experience at the VA been so far? What type of schedule do you have? I am interested in applying to the program here in ATL. Which VA are you working at and how did you find out about their program?

Hi wifeandmommy RN, I am also interested in working as a nurse with the VA in the Atlanta Metro area once I complete school. How was the hiring process? What is your work schedule like and what VA will you be working at?

I would agree with progressivethinking. I would contribute at least up to the amount that they will match, which I think is 5%. Check out Paycheck Calculators | Online Payroll Calculators | Paycheck City and they give you and idea of how much your ...
As with all private schools it's expensive and I saw on one link that actually all nursing programs cost the same but that public schools get subsidies from the state and federal government which allows them to offer the programs a lower costs.
You are funny, HopefulNurse2011....LOL I thought it was the best structured and organized program presentation that I have seen so far. I thought the tuition was a bit much but when you think about it Emory is about the same amount. I really liked...
