Thanks for the replies, 55k isn't great but it's a little higher then what little info I've seen (glass door job search said something like 48k). I don't plan on working a second job unless it's an online business or something like that. I still need to finish my MSN degree also, and am on the fence whether or not to get a MSN in Education or the Informatics at WGU. I finished up my BSN last year and have been trying to contact my mentor but I think she has been on maternity leave for awhile, so once I hear from her I'll share some more info on here.
Basically I just want to be able to work from anywhere as long as I have internet access for a phone and a quiet home office.
I had an interview, but had to decline almost immediately as I had just committed to a part-time online teaching position for a minimum of one year. That "no part time/PRN" rule was a dealbreaker. I heard it's about $51K-ish, with benefits I think? Something I would definitely consider again in the future after I finish my DNP.

Thanks for you input, I really don't want to work two jobs anyways, so that isn't a big deal for me. It is for sure on the low end of pay, especially since they require a Masters level degree, but I think that is normal in any type of education type of job. My mom was a grade school teacher with a masters degree and never got the pay that a nurse can get even with an ADN degree!
Again, thank you for your response.
I was interested in this position as well. I love the idea of helping students find their way and seeing how they are doing. The Glassdoor reviews didn't make it seem like a great option though so I am hesitant. I am wondering if anyone did enjoy this or if it was more of a stepping stone.

I'm considering becoming a WGU mentor but would like to ask someone some questions if they have or are working as a mentor at WGU. What is the pay like, can you work from anywhere as long as you have internet/phone? I've read lots about the work load and your pretty much on the phone most of the time. I'm just looking for a job that allows me to work from home even when I'm "away" or on the road.
