That's July 1...which means everything must be completed by June 30, 2010.To those who have already taken CAS...how long does the embassy process visa applications? Oh, and I've read in the CAS booklet...for the clinical placement...they require that there be an evidence of current CPR qualification...but how current is current?I hope the veterans will be able to answer our queries...Happy holidays everyone!Yes forumjunkie that's july 1. I'm used to placing dates in the British format, my clients here at work are British. Im sorry about that. Thanks meki_urameshi about the cpr qualification needed info. would you know which organization is valid? or any would do?

Hello fellow nurses. This is my first time to post in this thread. First of all, i'm very happy to have found this forum because it is very helpful to all wishing to be QLD nurses. I have a question. I received a letter from QLD stating that i need to provide detailed course descriptors from my nursing course and breakdown of theoretical and clinical hours. My question is, my school registrar only provides course descriptors that are not really detailed. (3- liner description of every subject.) Would that be enough? I have read that some were also asked to provide such documents. Thank you very much. =)

when I submitted to QNC, I used the verification of education form by the vermont state board of nursing. it's well formatted concise summarized breakdown of what QNC needs. Then you just let your registrar fill it up for you. You can get it in their website.

Thanks UR49 :)
Course description is from your School Registrar. Like the TOR you just need to order it from them and have it copied then authenticated. If your school only gives a 3 liner as description that would suffice if it describes the content of every course.
The breakdown of theoretical and clinical hours is usually part of the TOR...it would show the number of hours you've spent in each clinical setting you have been exposed to during your RLE years as well as the cases you have handled and assisted...I believe it also shows the number of beds in each setting and also your overall average for RLE. :)
hi meki_urameshi and dreaminoz. thank you very much for the reply. i am a second courser and i was really worried i won't be able to meet the deadlines before 1 july 2010. i already requested detailed course descriptors from my school and will be able to get it next week. i hope qnc will give positive feedback on my assessment. hoping and praying. merry christmas to all. :loveya:

Hi forumjunkie =). When did you receive your acknowledgment letter from QNC? I got mine end of August 2009 and received another letter from them again just this month requesting for my course descriptors. I hope our applications will be processed in time.
BjorkRN, i haven't received my acknowledgement yet. how long should i wait for it? when did you mail your applications?

hi to all! I'm an avid fan of this forum and it has been very helpful in my QNC application. I got a letter from QNC today and i found out that i lack an evidence of recency of practice within the past 5 years so I need to address the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council's Competency Standard for the Registered Nurse. Still confused on what to do.. Anybody's on the same delimma as mine???
