Good luck to all who will be taking the CAS exams! Does anyone here know how long it would take to process a visa which will enable you to take the one month clinical placement for CAS part B? And how much it will cost?

hi, have you taken your Part A test already? Reading recent posts here makes me really nervous and stressed out. Scary even. I hope we could all make it this December 9 (those who are scheduled)..

Hi fellow nurses. It has been some time since I last visited this forum and its still active. Anyhow, I would like to say to all of you who are taking this route is: PERSEVERE. I know its not easy, whether you are anxiously waiting for the board's assessment or preparing for the written exam or flying to australia for the clinicals. Its a long, challenging and expensive road. It does not even stop there as getting a job offer isn't a walk in the park either. But the good part is that the rewards are sweet. I've only been here a few months but I totally love Australia. It is indeed the "Lucky Country". There are already several forumers who are working here. I haven't met them but I'm sure they would agree with me that it was all worth it. I do sincerely hope that you all make it here in OZ.

Hi buddy_nurse! Thank you for your words of encouragement! My assessment still hasn't arrived but yes I agree with you, PERSEVERANCE and FAITH IN GOD is the key. :yeah:

Hi chokocat! i just learned of my assessment today when i followed it up, though I have yet to receive the copy they mailed to me. Have you read my post in the other forum? I placed my timeline there and if you're within that time frame I suggest you make a follow up too...

Thank you very much for this buddy_nurse...I will still have to go through some modules and the clinical placement before my Aussie Dreams can be realized...let's all keep a close walk with the Lord through all of this...I'm sure whatever delays and obstacles we will encounter He wants us to be more dependent of Him.

hi terranova! i dont know yet the nature of the module as i haven't received it yet. but i believe its sort of like a research. how many module do you need to take? good luck to all of us!!

Hi guys!

I have received or should I say seen my assessment over my email. I am qualified to take CAS. However I have not received the actual assessment papers so I can't send my application yet to CAS.:uhoh21:

On the assessment, there is this line: "CAS process is only available until 30 June 2010 due to the changes to national registration. At this stage Council is not aware of the process after 30 June 2010."

So we have to complete CAS A & B before 30/06/10 :redbeathe

I plan on taking CAS A in February as I think I coud not catch the deadline for January... :(

But still the assessment was positive :yeah: thank God for that!

To chocoKat79: I received your PM, I somehow could not reply to you. I guess I have not qualified to send PM's yet. You should make a follow-up on your application via email. They respond quite promptly.

I have to study hard now. :specs: I have stopped studying about 2 months ago as I had no idea what happened to my application until I found this wonderful site and knew that I could send that quick specific enquiry via email. Thank you so much guys!:thankya:

:redbeathe :heartbeat :redpinkhe I'm kinda nervous about the exam already. It took me a year to review for the Licensure Exam. With limited time and resources I still hope and pray that I'll pass as many categories as I can.

So Help us God... :saint:

I would also like to know how long it takes to process the VISA for CAS B? I need to make a time table. :D

Hmmm, maybe I should backread some pages here....but if anyone knows approximately how long please enlighten us. Thanks.

i have consulted QNC and they have verified that those taking the CAS route must finish both Parts A & B before 01/07/10.

i'll be taking the exam in february. i have to pass all 4! or maybe fail just 1! which would be not easy.

this is a big risk for me but i'm taking it. god please always remind me of your presence.
