Hi any nurse here in Queensland? just want to ask for a little help maybe you can recommend any book or review materials i can use for the Competency Assessment Test (QLD Nursing Council) I just need it badly. Thanks!
In my opinion, if i had the budget, i would have opted for the briding course because CAS Queensland is taking so long now since a whole lot are applying. But on the other hand, CAS is much cheaper since you can do the modules here in the philippines.
That's what i have also in mind. I'm also waiting for my assessment. I submitted it at the last week of October. Hope we all get positive assessment.
Hi thinkerbell...i am also applying for queensland and we are basically in the same boat :) i am still waiting for QNC's response though re: my application...as of the moment i still don't have any idea if they will give me the licence or they will require me to take bridging course...since you opted to take the exams rather than the education modules, is it hard? how about the review materials, can we buy it here in the phils? where?...oh i noticed this msg was still last yr! did u make it to the exam? are you in australia now?...thanks :)
hello linkRN...i am also applying for QNC,still waiting for their reply re: their assessment...if ever they will require me to do competency maybe i will opt to do the bridging course because first i am not familiar with their system( in the nursing field/health)...but i've also heard of this CAS where you can do self review?are there any review centers here in the phils that do the review because it might be difficult for us. Don't you think bridging course is better than the Challenge Test? ..what's your status now? ARe you from mindanao? :)
i got the result of the part A. luckily i passed two modules and unfortunately failed the others.. modular studies here i come! pm me anyone who needs help and references.. the exam is so hard huhuhuh!!
hi dear, my empathy.. but still I'd like to congratulate you for succeeding with the 2 subcategories... I sent you a private message, please help. Thanks

Keep in mind though that there is an upcoming change in Australia's Nursing Registration in July 2010, this may also lengthen or even disqualify some to take CAS QNC. But let's just hope for the best.
