Hi any nurse here in Queensland? just want to ask for a little help maybe you can recommend any book or review materials i can use for the Competency Assessment Test (QLD Nursing Council) I just need it badly. Thanks!

how i envy those who took the part A and was able to pass 2 or 3 subjects.

haayyy. $902 for every module is no joke. haaay..........

hi smegma. was it really difficult?

Hello smegma!! What happened to your exam? was it really hard and time pressured? I hope you will recuperate and move on to the education modules without difficulty, although it is very expensive. I just phoned an agency and they are offering a comprehensive review for part A that will last for 3 months but it cost 15K. I'm still considering just buying the recommended books for CAS than to review in a review center. However, this agency is promising an employer after passing the exams, they said they have a contact or connection in Queensland. I dunno if its true or not. I have just lodge my application to Queensland, I hope I will be referred to the CAS.

Hi ur49 what is the nane of the agency thats offering the workshop? :)

I'm wondering what happened to the application of the other posters early this year. I assume they have taken the Part A of the challenge test. How are you doing guys?

Hi everyone. Hope everything is OK with you.

To kit25, congratulations for making it in OZ. I read your PM but I'm still not allowed to post private messages. If your question is not too personal, why not post it here?

To mariepdl, Yes, spouses are included as secondary applicants in a 457 visa, just include them in your application. They actually have less restrictions on their visa as they can work for any employer. However, if your 457 gets canceled, theirs is also terminated automatically.

Cedar Agency...but I think its not yet finalized...

hi buddy nurse! its good to know you still have time to visit this site. how's your work? where are you working by the way? good luck!

Hi buddy nurse... May i just know if you encountered any problems with your school records with QNC coz if I remember it right you're also a 2nd courser like me?... I was informed my assessment was incomplete last week and one of the docs req pertained to course descriptors, so here i go again, gathering my docs huhuhu:crying2:

In sending other required or lacking documents to Queensland, does it need to be notarized also?

I think so...coz they only want certified true copies of the original document. they do not want the original copies of the documents sent to them except for the NBI or Police clearance.

from a reliable source...after 1 january 2010 applicants will be referred for the challenge test a and b only.

the other possible options would be to defer the applicant until the new agency commences on july 2010, when the new policies will apply or complete an undergraduate course in queensland with advanced standing for previous studies.

guys this means that nurses really have to send applications before january 1, 2010 or their applications would be on hold until july 2010 and transferred to the new regulatory body of australia. no one knows what are the new policies, if it will favor international nurses or just australian nurses. i hope its for the best.

guys pls update me on your status and i will update u all about mine. i have just mailed my application. i hope i will receive the acknowledgment letter from qnc sooner.

ur49 :)
