hi geministar, it took me long because i wasn't able to submit the additional documents on time. I took the NCLEX last may. and at that time i was considering of not pushing through my QLD application anymore. Buti nalang, i continued with my application. How about you? when did you apply?and when are you taking part A?

to all those who took part A na, was the exam really difficult? on what areas do I need to study or concentrate more? i HOpe someone can answer.hehehe

What did the heading of your assessment letter from QNC indicate? You see, when I followed up from QNC the other day I was told I got an incomplete assessment but to wait for the details in the mail. So much agony waiting on what it could be about so I'm trying to check from others if it could at all be possible it's just lack of IELTS

Hi kiangky, i just submitted the requirements. I'm in the waiting phase. I hope they will process the assessment within 3 months. When are you taking the Test A?

hello bubbynrs,

my letter said something like..to be eligible for registration i must comply by demonstrating competence as a nurse. that means i need to proceed with the CAS already. the exams :) just wait for the mail so that it will be clear to you on what documents you may probably lack since they said you have an incomplete assessment.. and oh yes, maybe its the IELTS that they are referring to... :)

hello guys...I'm new here in the thread but there are many valuable info I have read and it really inspired me to continue with my plans to australia. right now, Im collating and preparing all my documents to be submitted to the QNC. I have already passed the IELTS exam..thank God! coz its really hard to get a 7.0 in the writing subtest.

I have a question to all...Do most of u have no experience when you lodge ur application? coz im really worried coz I dont have the solid experience. Right now, i'm underemployed meaning I'm working in an office, which is not related to nursing. By the way I'm not a newly garduated nurse, i graduated way back 2006 and I still dont have hospital experience. Please help me...

I think that would be enough considering that the exam only focuses on the fundamentals of nursing and not on the more difficult aspect of nursing. Why it took 9 months? its too long..

guys..is it true that the CAS program will close this November?? O my God..I hope this is just another speculation without any proof..

hello ur49,

congrats for passing the IETLS :) it took me 9months coz I didnt submit my requirements right away. when i applied i only had 6months experience. about this month, 1 years na experience ko.

i heard that the CAS program will end and i believe it will sometime next year. Though i havent visited the qnc website to validate on that.

I really hope it's just about the IELTS, but if it's about other requirements I do pray I get the letter soonest so I can work on it immediately... thanks for your reply and good luck to all of us! :nurse:

guys bad news!!!!!!

i have emailed the qnc about the end of the cas and this is there reply:

at this stage, they are making no further referrals to cas after 1 january 2010, due to changes to national registration on 1 july 2010. no further information at the moment, as pending further information from the national implementation team re processes and policies which will apply.

i have to send my documents really fast or else i might end up in a mess!!!

we have only till january huhuhu...

we have to alert all the nurses who wants to proceed with the cas

I really dont know what will happen after January 2010, they said are not going to refer any candidates to the CAS program anymore...what will happen to those who have no experience at all, who passed their application.
