Any 2nd or 3rd time test takers?

Published

I am so happy for everyone that passed but i keep saying to myself "why couldn't that be me?" It just kills me to think i have failed Nclex RN twice and others take it one time and pass. I have been studying using Suzanne's plan this time and i'm scheduled to retest next month. Please throw some good vibes my way cos i need all the help i can get.

Any other 2nd and 3rd time test takers out there?

hello fellow test takers... i took my exam for the 2nd time on the 17th... it was horrible... my comp shut off at 80q... and i left in tears bc i wasnt ready for that... i dont feel comfortable at all and i just have a gut feeling i didnt pass AGAIN... i know how you guys feel about other ppl passing on their first time.. im not taking anything away from them i just wish we were all in that boat! lets try and keep our ehads up and keep studying i guess... i dont know about you guys but my whole summer has been nothing but studying for me... im just so over it.. did kaplan the 1st time around and i did the entire qbank as well as the 7 exams, this time i made flash cards, read the entire kaplan book which i didnt do the 1st time, retook the kaplan exams and scored significantly higher and i also did some questions with the saunders book (which helped for knowledge)... so you would think that im all confident right... nope... not at all.... i should be finding out in a couple hours tho...

Good luck

:oIt's so good to hear someone is in the same boat as me. My computer shut off at 140-something, and I think I got the last one wrong. I have test anxieties and it is very hard for me to get over them as I am in the test taking room. I did things a little different this time and went as far as getting anti-anxiety meds rx'd from my doctor and I wore ear plugs the whole time. Everyone here in this website is sooo encouraging. I WILL PASS and SO WILL YOU. You are already a nurse without the card, that's all. Let me know when you are an RN. I am still awaiting my results. If it doesn't happen this time, maybe the next time will be the charm. Best Wishes to all the test takers. Prayer definitely works.

y aknow i thought my 2nd time was gonna be a charm... but i just checked the website and its updated.. my name wasnt there... AGAIN.

Give it a bit more time, still chance for it to change

I have taken the NCLEX 3 times with 265 questions each time and all 3 fails. I dont know what else to do. I hate that this ridiculous test which in my opinion proves didly squat prevents me from being a nurse. So much for doing so well in school. Heck, people I tutored have passed. Couldnt be more discouraged and embarssed.

Try and relax whilst waiting for your results. Many have passed with 265 questions so can be done.

Welcome to the site and good luck

Kano,

I feel your pain. I, too, took the NCLEX for the second time today and I went all the way to the end. The first time around I had 88 questions. I don't know what to think. I had a mixture of questions, some easy, and some extremely difficult. Most of my questions were prioritization and med questions, with quite a few multiple responses. I won't find out my results until Friday. I hope I did it this time. God knows I don't want to have to go through that agonization again. I'm sick to death of studying. Good luck to you and everybody who just recently took it.

I took a kaplan course and the kaplan instructor told us that if you get to 265 questions

the last question determines if you pass or fail . get it right and you pass

get it wrong and you fail

he told us if we get to 265- start praying and spend a loong time on the question to make sure yo get it right

Thank you much for the response... i just checked on the boards website and my name is not on it..... i'm furstrated to say the least... i studied hard, did Kaplan and i've been getting 80-89% on all the practice questions. i'm hoping and beliving that God would do a miracle... i don't wanna go thru that torture of studying again. Good luck to you too...... lets keep eachother in our prayers.....
