Hi all, I did the NIHSS test B online twice and failed. I just cant seem to get it. Any advice? I finish all 6 patients and get a message saying "I did not pass because I got more than 6 wrong out of 90 questions. I need this to stay in the float pool.. I recently joined... any suggestions would be great. Is there a tutor that teach Nihss??thanks

it hurts really bad to have people lie on you.

unit manager loves her, not to worry my name has been cleared thanks to witnesses but she is a managers favorite. Even though my name is cleared she is still the maagers favorite. I ma just tired of dealing with liars.

Rn said I was no where in sight during a code, when I was there the whole time. Good thing I had enough witness other wise I would be toast.

You are right ,but some times it just gets to me because I don't tell lie on others but some people are so comfortable at doing it.

oh my god that's been my experience

I have been in nursing now for 7 years and I am finding in the last few years at this new hospital ,a few nurses who will just make up lies to either make themselves look good or throw u under the bus. I don't like what nursing has become and I am very disappointed. Please help, a few nurses on my unit are liars they will try to get you in trouble by lying. I can usually deal with anything but a liar /??? Its been quite a challenge. I am not liking nursing any more because of it. A nurse from another unit told me that it happens all the time and I should toughen up. Any suggestions my fellow nurses?

HI NURSES.... i still did not hear anything from the lab regarding my drug test at the hospital so i just called the nurse at the hospital who took my urine sample she said my urine results came back negative and that it did not even reach the lab it was negative on the way.......... so there u go ..i asked her why that happen she said some times its faulty strip.. oh well and the urine test i took for the agency assignment was negative as i expected. i am just happy to clear my name. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR ADVICE AND SUPPORT

thanks for trying to help but i dont go to parties and i dont drink no one knew i was looking for another job......... its just human error i believe i dont know how or why it happened but i will wait to hear back from them for the final outcome i sure hope they do further testing of the urine sample to see why the error happened

i did the urine test today for the agency assignment will get the result tomorrow........i was sent to a lab and i passed the urine directly to the lab tech i saw for my self it was my urine......... i wish they had done the same thing at the hospital...i had the benzo issue with....... well my fellow nurses thanks for everything and all the info about the chain of custody form etc i never knew anything about that before probBLE DIDNT PAY ATTENTION NOW I KNOW.. i will definately warch carefully next time and not take anything for granted.

post 24 i am not sure that will help because its internet source and the pharmacist states differently....i just came from my dr office also and she said its a false positive and i should ask my employer for a retest................... and guess what i signed up for some agency work and i have to do drug testing tomorrow now i am afraid TO TAKE THE ANTIBIOTICS FOR FEAR it may show up POSITIVE AGAIN even though the pharmacIST and doctor said otherwise. i thing i am going to hold off on my pill..i did not take the bactrim today and i wont take it until tomorrow after the drug test for this new agency i signed up with. can u blame me? NOW WHAT ARE U TALKING ABOUT WHY do u focus on how i contradicted my self what are u talking about.....u do not understand what you are reading and many of the nurses here are correcting your statements......its simple the pharmacist....the one that i called on the phone NOT THE INTERNET INFOrMATION I READ......THE PHARMACIST informed me that bactrim should not change the result of my urine and the doctor said the same thing...thats all i hope u understand now. however i did not take my bactrim YESTERDAY i will wait until i take my drug screening today with a agency NOT THE HOSPITAL THAT SAID I TESTED POS FOR BENZO i sure hope u understand now i cant be any more plain and simple than that. this will be my last post to you....i want to move on... when i find out the results i will let everyone know
