I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.
Thanks for your interest!

Hahaha! That really made me laugh! I hope we all get in. Especially you guys who have been waiting for so long. But I guess patience is key... :)
I turned in my application yesterday to the Medical Campus for the part time. The advisement office was PACKED and it seemed like everyone was turning in nursing applications. I guess everyone is trying to get it in before the requirements change over and you have to take the TABE test.
It was such a relief to finally be done and taken the big step to turn in the docs. I was told that we should get some kind of letter in June or so. Im trying to not go pyscho waiting or stressing about it. Going to enjoy the summer. Good luck everyone.

I went to the med campus yesterday and they told me we were to get letters like in July... I hope its in June and not July. July is sooo late to have to do everything before school. Has anyone gotten their shots and stuff? Which ones exactly are we supposed to have? Thanks and hope everyone's good. :)
Oh no, shots! That had not even occured to me. I hate when the needle is pointed at me. Not so much when it is pointed at someone else.
I was at advisement yesterday and they said they were expecting it to be sent by first or second week of June. Big yellow envelope means you got in and small white means you did not.

Ew I know. Shots are annoying. Oy, well I hope we all get our BIG envelopes in June!! I am so excited.:redbeathe:nurse:

Good Luck to everyone:yeah:I have been waiting for this for a long time. This will be my second time applying to the Accelerated program and this will be my first time for the generic program. I figure I will easily get into the generic, since my GPA surpasses the minimum. Now the accelerated program,
....serious problem....we will see, won't we friends. Hang on!!!
