U.S.A. New Mexico

Published

This is my first post and I clearly have no idea what I'm doing. Sorry in advance.

Just wondering if there are any New Mexico Students hoping to get accepted to GCU for Fall..

Also if you're hoping to get into any other school.. Please feel free to jump on in too.. Doesn't seem like NM gets any action on this site..

Hey! I never found out, I figured I would just wait until the orientations and surprisingly I really don't care anymore, I don't know if I want to find out to be completely honest. I don't want to throw myself a pity party by having "I was only ___ many spots away from getting in" stuck in my head all the time and obsessing over it.

I do plan on going to the orientations, it won't hurt and I hope to get some questions regarding the alternate list and reapplying answered then, if possible. Are you still going to go to them?

I'm also going to attend orientation. I honestly feel the same way. However, I'm hoping that if we were that close maybe being on the alternare list will help us get in next time. I wonder if that is taken into consideration?

I really hope they consider that when we apply next time... I think I am more concerned with how the actual list works than with what number I am!

i just receive my acceptance letter to gcu fall fast track program for st joes location! has anyone else received theres??

Hey guys... Did you ever find out what number you were for the alternate list when we were at the immunization meeting? How many people were on that list? Does it still look hopeful you two will get in???

When I was there... I heard 2 women talking about how they were alternates last time... And were automatically accepted this time (fall)....?? So if that's true... Than you guys will surely be accepted for Spring..

Hi! That is awesome news! Thanks for sharing. It looks like there were only two of us there from the alternate list. Either way I'm getting everything done, you never know.

That's great news, I hope that happens with us!

Hello all! I'm semi new to this site- didn't know there was a nursing New Mexico section! I applied to UNM's nursing program in the fall of 2013 and did not get accepted. I was planning on doing the GCU route but found out more information about Santa Fe! They are now providing a BSN degree in nursing! I am applying to Santa Fe in September. It really is a good school and program. If any of you have any questions, feel free to contact me! Congrats to those who got in! And to those who didn't- please do not give up! Everyone has their own path and journey! Fight for what you want!

Hey! I also checked out SFCC as well and it is a great school! Their program seems really organized and a great option for students around the city. The only downfall that I found is that the BSN program is not continuos through the year. This may not be an issue for some and can be pretty convenient because Summers are off. This is a nice little break but at the same time having Summers off means that the program is a bit longer than two years!

Let me know how you all feel about this!

Good luck as always.

That's the only downfall- you have summers off but I look at it as being able to take a break to just breathe. Now I know that I would have to study/review during the summers ( I wouldn't want to lose any information) but it's a really good school. I have a good feeling about it!

What is the admissions process at SFCC? Is it a first come, first served process like CNM or is it an application process with GPA and admissions testing taken into consideration?
