Any GCU Fall 2014 Hopefuls???

This is my first post and I clearly have no idea what I'm doing. Sorry in advance.

Just wondering if there are any New Mexico Students hoping to get accepted to GCU for Fall..

Also if you're hoping to get into any other school.. Please feel free to jump on in too.. Doesn't seem like NM gets any action on this site..

Yea the academic advisor at CNM told me I can't take Patho II. I'm going to still see if I can register for it next semester. Yes I completely agree that's too much money!! The last class I have to take is Patho II and If I don't get into nursing school next semester idk what else to do. I'm totally out of classes. I was hoping to try to get in at GCU for the spring semester but that's definitely not happening.

On another note, my friend told me that she has been talking to S---- from GCU and he told her that Patho II is included in the nursing program?? That sounds wrong to me because I have asked him a couple times if they included it!

And idk I need to look into that. I know that NMSU has the combined class but I'm not sure if it is online.

Hmm, I don't think that sounds correct either. Is there any chance she's getting patho mixed up with pharm? I wish GCU offered Patho, my grades in I and II were less than stellar and I hate that they show up on my transcript:no:.

I hope you find a way to take it...

She's going for nursing. She also told me that shes going to take the $700 combined class just in case. She's also trying to get into NAU ($$$$) :no:.

i guess I'll just have to wait to apply for GCU. I've already applied for UNM this semester and I'm going to try CNM & their dual program.

Hopefully we all get some luck so we can start our programs next semester!!!

Does anyone know if GCU does a summer semester or do they just do Fall and Spring here? Also, how is the HESI for GCU. I hear that it is different than CNM/UNM's HESI Exam. Let me know. I'm interested in applying for the GCU's nursing program next semester.

GCU doesn't do a summer application deadline. The HESI is the exact same one that you take for UNM and CNM but you also have to take the A&P section and learning style section!

Thanks ApricotTea lol you always answer my questions. I'm going to try to apply for GCU Fall 2015 term. I'm just concerned because I only have a 3.4 and I have two C's. i guess I can try to retake those classes to raise my GPA next semester.

Definitely retake those classes if you can, I retook two classes over the summer and got in this time around. I hated having to pay out of pocket but figured that it would bring me closer to my goal of getting into GCU!

Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you. Its so hard to get all A's and some B's but i guess I have no choice but to do. My goal is to get into GCU as well so hopefully next Fall will be my time.
