Any GCU Fall 2014 Hopefuls???

This is my first post and I clearly have no idea what I'm doing. Sorry in advance.

Just wondering if there are any New Mexico Students hoping to get accepted to GCU for Fall..

Also if you're hoping to get into any other school.. Please feel free to jump on in too.. Doesn't seem like NM gets any action on this site..

Congratulations to all of you!!!!! Unfortunately I didnt get accepted, maybe next time :) Im happy for all of you, hope to hear about your experience once you start.

Thank you! For that same reason I didnt want to get my hopes up, but you know you still do. Lets hope for Spring 2015. Congrats again!!:)

Hey guys congratulations! I wasn't accepted and feel very sad. I spoke to S--- and he said I was on an "alternate list".

afuentes9, did S. say what being an alternate entailed exactly... I emailed on Friday and received no answer. Do you know if we will have to reapply if not offered a spot or our chances of actually getting a spot? Sorry about all of the questions, I guess I am just really antsy right now and want answers instead of just being patient and waiting for the immunization meeting (or even Monday when I can contact him again). :)

He just said we would basically have to do all the orientations just in case someone would drop out of the program. Thats hard to find encouraging...what are the odds. Im sorry...I know how you feel. I feel sooo discouraged.

Huh... that is extremely discouraging and with an admitted class size of only 24; it doesn't look good for us. Thanks for the information though, I am straddling the line between being optimistic and discouraged... I don't want to give up just in case, but I know my chances of getting in this time around are slim. I'm actually a little more disappointed with being an alternate than I thought I would be because I was so, so close and it slipped away.

Hopefully we both get in for the fall and if not, I think we have a really good chance for a spring start!

I have been feeling sooo sad but we must keep our heads up. Things happen for a reason and we will get accepted next semester....both of us. We worked hard and deserve it. Dont give up! Do you know what number you are in the waiting list?

I keep telling myself this, it's just a detour and when I finally do get accepted somewhere it will be because it is the right time, plus I am still going to try for CNM later this summer... just in case! I really feel like GCU is the school for me though and I do think we will both get in next time.

I don't know what number I am, do you? I think the letter that notified us of our alternate status said we will find out at the Health, Safety, and Immunizations meeting... we just have to wait impatiently until then!

I'm number 6. S--- told me thats how I know. I feel like I belong at GFU too! I had my heart set at that school.

Number 6 is a good spot! I wonder how many people are alternates. I really want to know what number I am but at the same time I don't...

Hi ApricotTea, Did you ever find out what number you are in the alternate list? Are you going through with the orientations?
