Hi y'all
Just wanted to see if there are any CSUDH MEPN Fall 2008 applicants out there who would like to join me in the wait. Does anyone know if interviews are finished? I had mine on April 10th. Does anyone know how accurate the school is with their first week of June deadline of notification? Hope to hear from somebody:wink2:
where have you been searching for scholarships? Have you tried FastWeb, I've never applied to one of their scholarships but I guess it would be worth a try. I also checked out the university catalog, there is a long list of nursing scholarships, although, i don't know if they have separate applications, the phone number is there, i intend to find out, i'll let you know, you might want to check it out, the link is http://www.csudh.edu/catalog/2007%2D2009/Financial%20Aid.htmlook under departmental scholarships.
i don't really want to sign up with a hospital because i don't want to feel like i'm stuck somewhere, anyways, let me know if you find out about any more financial aid info
Ya, I will definately keep you updated when my financial aid report comes in. I signed up for FastWeb awhile back and applied to supposedly "easy to win" scholarships, but haven't won any. I think the Brickfish scholarships posted all over FastWeb are a hoax.. I found this website the most promising out of some of the ones I searched: http://www.minoritynurse.com/financial/scholarships.html
Thanks for the school website, I will definately check those scholarships out
For those that are in the valley, the College of Nursing and Technology in Reseda offers the CPR class on Wednesdays at 5pm for the price of 50 dollars, which is the cheapest I could find. The instructor gives good practical advice about real-life situations for health care professionals, however, he has an accent and talks a little fast, also, I don't know if he teaches all classes but I believe he does. The class was about 3.5 hours. Just wanted to put out this information for those who haven't taken the class yet.
i havent received any information from Jorge about which classes to sign up for, has anybody else? I know where to go and how to do it but Jorge hasn't given the green light to sign up yet, right?
i asked jorge last week cuz i'm out of the country most of this month and did not want to screw anything up; anmyways, he said we register for classes during orientation. july 25th is considered "pre-orientation", so i'm guessing we don't register until the august meeting..
Hi Everyone,
I'm excited for our pre-orientation tomorrow and to finally meet my fellow classmates! in particular the ones that I have been communicating with on this forum, therefore, I decided to make myself identifiable for tomorrow: I'll be wearing a bright blue collared shirt w/ jeans, i wear dark-rimmed glasses, i have really long brown hair
silly it might seem since our class is not that big, but i wanted to make an effort to meet the faces behind the usernames
hope to meet some of you if not all of you tomorrow :)
Don't forget to go back to their website to look for the results & certificates. I don't think they ever notified me by email that it was ready.
If anyone hears anything from CSUDH Financial Aid, can they please let me know. Has anyone tried to register for classes yet & did you pay or can you hold it off pending financial aid decisions?
