Hello, since I had taken both A&P I & II almost 10 years ago, I don't need to retake them. I don't remember anything. Is this a bad thing or should I take some type of crash course? Could anyone offer any suggestions?

Hi there! One thing that really helped me was watching TeachMeAandP and Dr Matt & Dr Mike videos on Youtube. I took AP I over the Summer and those two accounts helped me out tremendously.
Thanks! I'll check them out. Must all topics be memorized? There is so much.

Most programs want you science prereqs to be no more than 5 years old. So you need to check with your program director just to be sure. If you really don't remember anything then You Tube has great tutorials

No problem! A lot of the stuff in AP Bio is pertinent to nursing. In my case, at BMCC, I need to study and learn AP 1 and 2 for the admission tests for the Nursing program this Winter. Which I have been using those Youtube channels that I mentioned and Nursehub to study. The Youtube videos have helped me not just memorize, but absorb a lot of the information.

If it's been 10 years (which is why most programs require re-taking at 5 years) and you don't remember anything then you should retake the courses. Looking for a "quick fix" isn't going to help you in the long run.

I am a little surprised and disturbed that a nursing program would consider accepting pre-req credits that are 10 years old in the first place. Even with tutorials and a "crash course" that's a lot of information to digest. I'd suggest after that much time away from it to just retake the courses unless there's a compelling reason you can't.

I would recommend studying and freshening up on your knowledge .

I know I’ll get hate for this…LOL. The for dummies books are great at breaking down the basics and bringing back to mind the important topics of almost every topic, and they are cheap.
