  1. This individual sounds capable of understanding consequences. I would recommend a discussion with him and his parents (if authorized) regarding the future ramifications of being labeled "permanently disabled". This is not something to be taken lightly and not a decision you just can just change your mind on later and suddenly decide that you don't want to be disabled any more.
  2. What's changed at the previous position? If you can't answer that with a whole lot of positive/beneficial changes then you're going to leave a known situation to go to an unknown situation that is potentially not any better or worse than when you left 2 yrs ago. You noted some people you knew have since left. Most people don't leave jobs...they leave the management. Something to think about.
  3. This is the rest of that statement and it would apply to your diagnosis
  4. Something else to look into would be whether or not she graduated from an accredited program...seems to be a lot of issues related to that topic nowadays
  5. this is a good point. I completely forgot about the blister pack (I.e. multiple tablets/units) and was only thinking of a single tablet
  6. sounds like you have the situation well in-hand
  7. I consider the physical aspects and your financial situation as the two major factors/considerations. Otherwise....my question is "how old will you be if you don't become an RN?"
  8. Why? It's not a controlled substance. She made a mistake, admitted it, and rectified the problem. IMHO, the BON will eventually get around to investigating and essentially determine it's not worth something worth pursuing.
  9. exactly what I was thinking
  10. it depends...on the setting (inpatient, outpatient, clinic, offsite vs onsite, etc.)
  11. Attached is the DOT procedure. I'm sure they would love to hear your recommendations and concerns regarding the procedure. ODAPC DOTs_Direct_Observation_Procedures_Instruction_Sheet_August312009.pdf
  12. Ton of information available via the "search" feature
  13. Just to clarify...you haven't worked as an RN in 11 years or you haven't worked at all in 11 years? If you haven't worked as an RN...what have you been doing? If you haven't worked at all...why not?
