Does Anyone Know The Average Cost Of An Adn At A Community College?

Mine is about 2k a semester

My classes run about 2k a semester, but add in books, uniforms, etc and it bumps up a few hundred.

You also have to consider whether or not you have all your pre-req's done already. I took a year before nursing and took all my pre-req's and co-req's so I could concentrate on nursing classes. So I actually will be doing three years.

Hi,

I went in NH and it was about 3,000 a semester for just the nursing stuff. :stone

The community college where I attend the average cost for the ADN

program is $1300.00 a semester, this includes registration, lab

and other fees as well as the cost of books.

OP: You will read a wild range of numbers that will not be of much help. Some nursing students are taking additional courses with nursing courses (co-requisites), are out-of-state residents, are international students, and/or are in-state residents who pay more because of the program (i.e. the nursing program has additional fees as oppose to non-nursing programs). As an example my school is set up based upon credit hours, lab fees, and residency only. So what I pay may be different then what others at my school pay based on his/her residency status and course load (I am finished with all but my nursing courses). Thus your best bet is to contact the local colleges to find out how much tuition, fees, and lab costs per semester for a student in your situation in order to get an accurate account. GL.

Specializes in I have 2 years in the ER....

3500/semester at a private catholic college. but the poster who mentioned other classes is correct, like i have to take religion classes. wish my books were covered too.

I pay $1300 a semester. However, that is tuition and lab fees only. If you add in uniforms and books, it would be hundreds more.

I hope this helps.

The Dean of Nursing at my cc said our 2yr program will cost $5,500 for everything including tuition, books, uniforms. I think that's a very low estimation because I am spending about $1300 in books this first semester alone, and they are not counting costs such as school supplies, PDA, voice recorder ect. By MY estimation, it's going to cost me more like $8,000...

Total cost for program at cc near here is 10,000; that's for everything books, supplies, uniform, tuition, including all fee's for state boards.
