I have been registered on here for a couple of weeks now, and I was wondreing...am I the only British nurse who browses and posts??!!

Hello amber,
I'm after some British info :). What is the British equivalent to an LPN in America do you know? Does it involve those NVQ courses, and do you know roughly how they are done and what sort of training is involved? Any advice would appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Amber, I'm not from Britain, but Canada! We do still have the same Queen you know! And I've discovered a lot of the same terminology!! )

Donmurray and Whisper are a couple of the UK nurses I can think of right off the top of my head. I believe there are more, but I can't remember any other names right now.
I've asked that question in the thread job abreviations. Like you I wanted better understanding.
