Hi every1, this's me.. New members in this lovelly board. I'm studying in science & Technology University in Jordan - of of course nursing. It's wondering why I'm studing out of my country? The answer is easy bcze no bachelor's degree of nursing in Saudi Arabia.

My first choice to complete my study was greate Amrica but unfortunately they refused!! You know after 11 sep we are no welcome anymore.

Anyway I'm here now to sharing the experience and get new knowledge. Could anybody say welcome?

 :kiss

this thread just goes to prove that if we locked up all the politicians, and let nurses run the world, we'd have peace in an instant!

saudinurse, i can only repeat what has already been said:

welcome !!!

Just wanted to add my welcome.

Sometimes us board members get a little tempermental w/each other but we usually kiss and make up quite well, so please don't take any negativity you see around here personally. Realize we use this place to blow off steam.

Also a lot of us were very sensitive about personal security issues long before 9/11 because of the way our society is getting more and more heavy into crime and a lot of us (especially those who have already been victims) are scared. Sorry but that is the way the US is.

Personally, I missed out on hearing about Saudi several yrs ago. My husband (when we were in the US military) was picked for an assignment to go to the embassy for duty for 6 months and he was preparing by going to briefings about the Saudi culture (what he could and could not do when on and off duty). For example, he was not to wear his US Army uniform at all.

We would love to hear about your experiences in nrsg school where you are and about Saudi itself, and are eager to help you in any way if you need it. Just ask. Again, a big welcome!
