Hey guys! I did not see a thread for students applying to the spring 2018 ADN at alvin cc. Who all applied? I emailed Karen and she said "APPROXIMATELY" by Nov 17th they will send out emails as to whether you were accepted, on wait list, or denied.

I heard that the LVN san jac people already got their acceptance emails from North campus on the 30th.

Yeah she applied at South :0)

Has anyone been in contact with the program and know if the emails are gonna be delayed? Last cycle they delayed notifications by two weeks.

Last I heard they seemed pretty confident that notifications would go out sometime before Thanksgiving which would be next week.

I am wondering the same. They said around Thanksgiving at the meeting but my confirmation of completion email stated around November 17th. I'm just telling myself by Thanksgiving day.

Congratulations to those that were accepted. However, I was not accepted. For those that were accepted, pls would you mind sharing your scores stats on Hesi and stuffs. I will reapply and hopefully secure a spot next time. Once more congrats!

I'm not 100% sure about GPA since I can't remember what classes they use to calculate it. I can tell you I have all the required classes and all courses are A's except for Psych which is a B from 20 years ago. No course retakes in the past 5 years. I also know they take the highest HESI score from each section if taken more than once. My HESI scores were:

Math: 98

Reading: 96

Vocabulary: 98

Grammar: 96

A&P: 88

Hi, Ogo34! My Hesi score overall was a 92, GPA is 4.0 and I have Lifespan and Humanities completed in addition to the prerequisites. I have not taken any classes at ACC and do not live in Alvin so I guess my GPA and Hesi scores were enough. best of luck to you on your next attempt- this was my second time applying as well!

I was not missing anything per se, but had not yet taken Lifespan or Humanities. I took both of those over the summer so that completed things for me in terms of what they ideally look for.
