Alvin Community College Spring 2018-ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys! I did not see a thread for students applying to the spring 2018 ADN at alvin cc. Who all applied? I emailed Karen and she said "APPROXIMATELY" by Nov 17th they will send out emails as to whether you were accepted, on wait list, or denied.

Glad to see you took the initiative to start a thread for Alvin 2018. I couldn't find one and honestly was too lazy to do it myself:) I also applied to Alvin along with 8 other nursing programs. I've been at this for a while and this is the first semester I have applied to any ADN programs, and if I go this route Alvin is definitely my first choice for ADN. They seem to be well organized and well respected in the industry.

I just got the email from Karen confirming that everything was complete on my application!

Hey guys! I also applied for the Spring 2018 ADN program! Last I heard there were 315 applicants and that was about a week before the cut off date.

This has to be one of the slowest Alvin threads I've seen. Apparently there's another 325+ potential students that don't post on Allnurses.

That is exactly what I was thinking lol. You'd be surprised though, quite a few of my classmates had never even heard of this site.

I have also applied to Alvin CC ADN program, anyone here from Houston?? I would be making the drive, if accepted into the program.

Where at in Houston? If the North or Northwest side the commute could be brutal. Southeast, South, or East wouldn't be too bad. I am in Pearland, so it's only 15 minutes for me.

15 minutes? How fast do you drive!? I am in the Southwest area, Bellaire, Meyerland. SO I would be going against traffic, therefore it wont be too bad. However, its at least a 40 minute drive, not to mention, all the miles I would be putting into my vehicle.

I drive the speed limit. Pearland is just right up the road from Alvin. 40 minutes isn't bad. The two programs I've been accepted to so far are 2 hours & 4.5 hours away...now that's a commute.

To be fair, the only reason I knew about this site was because I saw it up on someone's computer in class.

Reapplying to the program again after being rejected last semester on a technicality.
